Vale and I took glances at each other as we exited the room.

I clenched my fists while he kept glaring at me.

Linda was far in front of us with Daphne, while me and the Beta continues exchanging death threats.

"Should have told Riftan about the guy snooping around!" I whispered at him.

"He has so many things in his hands!" he hissed back. "I'll take care of that snooping guy, rest assured!"

"Oh, really?" I placed my hands on my hips. "What if he's a dangerous guy? Shouldn't you give him a report of everything you're supposed to see?!"

"I know!" he pinched my ear. "Quiet down will you?!"

"All right, all right!" I removed his hand from my ear and sighed.

I know that Vale had been trying his best to ease Riftan's burdensome duties, by taking actions of his own. It's a noble trait from a Beta like him, but I honestly think, that matters such as that man snooping around-needs to be reported to Riftan right away.

"If you won't tell him, I will tell it myself."

    I inspected the grounds.I plunged towards the thick snow and buttoned my coat, slowly pacing towards the abandoned tent. I see no sign of human life but a newly built campfire, just as I thought.
