Epilogue

It was an afternoon after one long year and a month in Auckland!

“Ryan?” Amanda slowly opened the door of her son’s room and peeped in. The room was dark as usual, all the curtains pulled to block the sunlight from entering the room. In the dark Amanda could make out someone sitting on the chair with his head rested on the Desk. She knows exactly who the person is, of course her son!

Amanda sighed deeply and walked in. She opened a curtain only slightly to have some light in the dark room. She stood at the side of her son who has fallen asleep. She ran her fingers through her son’s hair, whispering gently, “Son?”

Ryan steered a bit but didn’t wake up. It was a Sunday and by the look of the room, with scattered empty bottles and ipads and laptops open on his desk, she could easily say that he has been drinking and working till dawn.

Since the unfortunate event that took place during last to last Christmas, Ryan has investe
