Tatum’s POV

The next morning, I woke up and began to freshen up for work. I chose a navy blue maxi dress made of a soft, ribbed jersey that draped elegantly to my ankles. It was professional yet comfortable, and I paired it with a thin leather belt to pull the look together. After a light touch of makeup—just enough to look awake—I walked to the dining area for breakfast.

Arden was already there, hunched over his plate. He didn’t look up; he simply ignored my presence as if I were a ghost.

Tatum’s POV The next morning, I woke up and began to freshen up for work. I chose a navy blue maxi dress made of a soft, ribbed jersey that draped elegantly to my ankles. It was professional yet comfortable, and I paired it with a thin leather belt to pull the look together. After a light touch of makeup—just enough to look awake—I walked to the dining area for breakfast.Arden was already there, hunched over his plate. He didn’t look up; he simply ignored my presence as if I were a ghost."Good morning," I said, my voice sounding small in the large room. The maid served me in silence. The quiet in the dining room was deafening, broken only by the sharp clink of my spoon against the ceramic mug as I stirred my tea. Once I finished eating, the maid returned to clear the table."Don't make dinner for me tonight," I announced, directed more at the room than at him. "I’ll be eating out.""Okay, ma'am," she replied softly.I left the house and hailed a taxi to work. I hadn't been ab

Tatum’s POV "Don't handle me like that!" I snapped, my voice sharp as a blade. He ignored me, his fingers clamping firmly around my chin. I surged against him, trying to wrench myself free, but his hold was iron. "How dare you slap me?" he hissed, his tone dripping with cold rage. "Because I can!" I shot back defiantly. "You don't get to speak to me like that," he growled, his grip tightening painfully against my jaw. "I haven't even settled the score with you for hitting Brianna, and now you hit me? What right do you think you have?" " Neither have I, Let me go," I said through gritted teeth. "No, I won't." "I warned you," I said, my voice dropping to a dangerous level. "I told you not to let her appear before me. I made myself very clear: I wouldn't guarantee her safety if she did." He stared at me for a long beat, his eyes searching mine, before he slowly loosened his grip. The moment I felt his fingers retreat, I didn't hesitate—I swung my hand and slap

Arden’s POV I sat in the dim-lit room, anchored to the sofa. A cigarette rested between my fingers, its smoke curling lazily around my face as I waited patiently for the mole to be brought to me. Soon, the door burst open. The mole was shoved into the room and thrown onto the floor. "Spare me, Boss!" he pleaded frantically. "Spare you? What a joke," I replied coldly. "I’m sorry, Boss! I was in desperate need of money—that's why I did it. Please, I’m sorry!" He kept pleading, his voice cracking. "How much were you paid?" I asked. "Two hundred grand," he replied. I let out a cold, sharp laugh. "You sold Laurke out for two hundred grand, you bastard?" "You know what to do," I said to Jason. The man nodded. "No, Boss! Please, I’m begging you!" he screamed as he was dragged away. Anyone who dares to betray me will face the ultimate consequence: death. A few minutes later, Jason returned. "Everything is done, sir. The situation is stable and the project ca

Arden's POV After I saw the mail, I rushed into Brianna’s room. She looked startled when she saw me rush in. “What’s wrong? Are you fine?” she asked. “I have to go. Tell your assistant to come over,” I replied. “Oh, okay. Are you sure you’re fine?” she persisted. “Yes, I am,” I said, placing a kiss on her forehead, and left. I called my assistant back. “Yes, sir?” he said. “Get the private jet ready. When we get on board, you’ll explain everything to me,” I said. “Yes, sir. I will.” Thirty minutes later, I got onto the private jet. Jason brought his tab to me as he began to explain the situation. “What you are trying to say is that Derrick brought his men to disrupt the overseas project?” I queried. “Yes, sir. Although no one died, two people were severely injured, and the people involved are seeking an explanation from us, sir. I didn’t want to disturb you and tried to handle the situation, but things started to spiral out of my control. I have told th
