Vacation Ends, Life Begins--Split Chapter
(Nerina’s P.O.V)
The last week on the island has been pure bliss, spending time with my friends and John and the guys. We never did have the scavenger hunt the girls had talked about, considering we went back in time on the day it was supposed to happen. I wonder what ever happened to the person who was supposed to set it all up, hmm…oh well. We’ve spent the last week just enjoying the sun and the sand during the day and the local night life at, well, night. Coming back to the villa and having John fuck my brains out daily was also a nice bonus on this trip. I sigh as I put the last of my belongings in my suitcase. We fly out tomorrow morning to Miami before we all go our separate ways. It has me nervous about John’s choice to move to Virginia in a few weeks, while Edward is going to California right away with Nikita and Kailani and Arthur are going back to Maryland together. (Nerina’s P.O.V) 1 year later After returning home from vacation, I called my mother to tell her that I had a surprise for her and that she was going to have to cancel my date with Athan. Which she did, albeit begrudgingly. It took a few weeks for John to move here because I also had to find a bigger place for us, since I was just living in just about the smallest one bedroom one bathroom apartment you could find in Virginia near headquarters. We eventually settled on a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom house, making sure that I took John on a virtual tour when I was given the tour by the real estate agent. It reminded us of the villa we stayed in in Bermuda, and that was all we needed to know that it was the right house for us. (William’s P.O.V) 1 year later It had been a year since Selene had sent me and the children back to the Lunar Realm with Charlotte and I could honestly say that I never would have guessed that any of this was real. Charlotte was, apparently, the granddaughter of the king of the sea dwellers and shifters. So, we lived in the palace in their kingdom, Oceri, and her grandfather was more than happy to have us there, surprisingly. (William’s P.O.V) Caribbean Ocean, 1835 We have been sailing these waters for a fortnight and have yet to make landfall, we are beginning to lose hope of finding the treasure of Greybeard to break this curse placed upon the families of those who sailed with him. (Nerina’s P.O.V) Three days later As I’m walking to my connecting flight through the Miami International Airport, I hear a woman screeching behind me. “Nerina!!!!!!!!!” I turn around and am almost bowled over by a woman with shoulder length auburn hair, crushing me in a hug. “Oh, I’ve missed you so much!” I hear the woman screech. Ah, this would be Elizabeth Bardot, or Lizzie, our Canadian doctor. Lizzie pulls back from me, squishing my cheeks with her hands, making my lips pucker out like a fish. (Nerina’s P.O.V) Walking through the front door in a single file line, we entered the foyer with beautiful gray marble floors that were sparkling underneath the huge silver chandelier that hung over a beautiful oak circular table. A beautiful bouquet of tropical flowers was in a vase, sitting atop the table. “Wow, this is beautiful.” Corie whispers out. “Why are you whispering?” Lizzie whispers back to her. “I just feel like I need to whisper in here, it looks like a museum!” Corie whispers, yet again. No one can hold in their laughter, and it echoes throughout the foyer. “Well, there goes the air of it being a museum.” Nikita laughs. We exit the foyer and make our way into the open planned living room/kitchen/dining room.

(John’s P.O.V) After dropping the group of women off at the White Villa—literally that’s what it’s called among the natives—I made my way back to the garage to call William. One of the women, Nerina, looks a lot like the woman he fucked on what was supposed to be our only night here in Bermuda prior to our jaunt through time. Lord only knows how we went from being in the year 1835 to the year 1999 but it happened. Yeah, somehow our ship traveled through time when we tried to sail through the “Bermuda Triangle” and ended up in the same spot at the harbor in Hamilton. We have been here ever since, unable to get past the triangle for some unknown reason. The crew has adapted very well, and we have been successful in blending in, changing our names every few decades or so and moving around the island. Voyages In The Night Family Reunion...Kind Of?
(Nerina’s P.O.V) After speaking with John and having been embarrassed to the nth degree by my friends, we decided to have dinner outside by the pool instead of indoors. The weather was beautiful as the sun was setting over the horizon and we could see the clear blue waters of the Caribbean. Anne made us a huge million course gourmet dinner: bacon wrapped sea scallops for an appetizer while we drank, matchstick parmesan and truffle fries, with wood fired beef tenderloin. It was *insert chef’s kiss emoji thing here*. It really does pay to be friends with a world-renowned chef, particularly when they have a huge ass kitchen at their disposal.
