(William’s P.O.V) Caribbean Ocean, 1835             We have been sailing these waters for a fortnight and have yet to make landfall, we are beginning to lose hope of finding the treasure of Greybeard to break this curse placed upon the families of those who sailed with him. Our family lines have all been cursed with time, we age slowly to the point of immortality. Though Greybeard and his son, my father, have both perished, I need to uncover where the treasure is to reverse the curse that he placed upon us. My first mate, John Drummond, came up to me at the helm with updates on the crews functioning and the distribution of supplies. “Captain, we are running low on food and the crew is becoming restless with the amount of time at sea with no land in sight, and we need to make landfall soon because we need to repair the rigging from the last storm we sailed through.” “I understand

(Nerina’s P.O.V) Three days later             As I’m walking to my connecting flight through the Miami International Airport, I hear a woman screeching behind me. “Nerina!!!!!!!!!”             I turn around and am almost bowled over by a woman with shoulder length auburn hair, crushing me in a hug. “Oh, I’ve missed you so much!” I hear the woman screech.             Ah, this would be Elizabeth Bardot, or Lizzie, our Canadian doctor. Lizzie pulls back from me, squishing my cheeks with her hands, making my lips pucker out like a fish. I try to talk but my words are muffled thanks to her squishing my face. She finally removes her hands from my face to allow me to talk. “Lizzie! I didn’t know that you were going to be meeting us here! I thought we’d be seeing y

(John’s P.O.V)             After dropping the group of women off at the White Villa—literally that’s what it’s called among the natives—I made my way back to the garage to call William. One of the women, Nerina, looks a lot like the woman he fucked on what was supposed to be our only night here in Bermuda prior to our jaunt through time. Lord only knows how we went from being in the year 1835 to the year 1999 but it happened. Yeah, somehow our ship traveled through time when we tried to sail through the “Bermuda Triangle” and ended up in the same spot at the harbor in Hamilton. We have been here ever since, unable to get past the triangle for some unknown reason. The crew has adapted very well, and we have been successful in blending in, changing our names every few decades or so and moving around the island. I’ve gone back to using my birth name of John Drummond and so has William, going back to using his last name of T

(William’s P.O.V)             After speaking with John yesterday about the woman he had driven looking like my Charlotte, I couldn’t stop thinking about her. Every day from the time we had left to ending up jumping through time, I thought of her and our child she was carrying. Charlotte wasn’t a one-time fling like I had intended, I grew to love her and her gentle nature. She would have been a wonderful mother. That night, when I got back to the house that my men and I owned, I laid awake in my bed replaying the course of my life. At over 200 years old I have yet to find someone like my Charlotte and I don’t think I ever will, considering we can’t leave this damn island. There is some force that is keeping us here and we can’t figure out a way around it, let alone WHAT it is. The morning dawns bright and sunny like always, and I feel the nerves setting in for this afternoon. I took John’s advice and set a reservation for

(John’s P.O.V)             I tried to get William to NOT go to Nerina’s villa this morning because I had a feeling that the declarations made by the two of us yesterday would have resulted in her and her friends becoming blind drunk. And that is exactly what happened. When she opened the door for us this morning, I could smell the alcohol, but what I couldn’t get over was seeing her almost bare in front of me. She had on little, tiny shorts that were basically underwear that hid nothing, and her top was cropped so you could see her toned stomach and her nipples were puckered and could be seen through her shirt because, of course, she wasn’t wearing a bra. It was maddening how badly I wanted to take her right against the wall in the foyer. She allowed us entry and went upstairs to change and retrieve her gun, lord knows she really didn’t need it, we weren’t there to hurt her or her friends. Once everyone was seated on the
