CHAPTER THIRTY SIX.

“Babe '' Nathan called and Audrey jolted back to reality, for like five minutes he had been calling her name but she was lost in the reverie of her own thoughts and didn’t hear him.

Audrey was still on the balcony where Louisa left her even though it was more than an hour. Her conscience was pricking her and she didn’t know how to face him. The more she thought about it, the more she felt the pangs of pain in her chest. Nathan was too nice a person for her to lie to him like this.

“Are you okay?” He asked with his hand on her shoulder, “I have been calling out to you, what happened?”

“I am not Vanessa” Audrey blurted and the man froze, he was contemplating if he heard her well.

“What?”

“I meant what if I was not Vanessa?” She changed her statement, “your mum called me another name remember?”

Her statement made Nathan to burst out laughing, wasn’t she a hilarious one?

“Are you kidding me right now?”

“What do you mean?” Audrey was not sure what he was driving at.

“I know my Nessa okay?”
