He killed their marriage on a stage. She faked her death on the road. Five years ago, Cassian Wolfe—a man who never believed in love—married Leah Quinn to close a deal. On their anniversary, he closed their marriage. Publicly. Brutally. Hours later, she was “dead.” But Leah didn’t die. She vanished—helped by the last person Cassian would ever suspect: his elder brother. Now she’s back. Not as Leah. But as Raven with a new face, a billion-dollar company, and a son Cassian doesn’t know exists. Her mission? Burn down everything with the Wolfe name. When Cassian meets the mysterious new CEO of a fast-rising rival firm, he feels an inexplicable pull. He doesn’t know she’s his late wife. But when the truth slowly unravels—piece by piece—he realizes what he lost… and that he’ll do anything to get her back. Even if she hates him. Even if she’s engaged to his brother.

Leah’s POV Five hours ago, I woke up to a divorce paper. No note. No explanation. And since then, he has been avoiding me. Tonight wasn’t just about our anniversary—because there wouldn’t be any if I didnt tell him that I was pregnant before he climbed the stage. “Where is he?” I asked Nia, scanning the ballroom. “Leah… he’s been avoiding you all evening, are you sure everything is alright?" " Everything is alright." I muttered as I kept walking. I had to find Cassian as soon as possible. I squeezed through the crowd in my red dress, the dress he used to say made me look like his queen. Then I saw Cassian. Standing near the stage, talking to his mother-Vivienne. He looked my way—and then he turned his face immediately. “Cassian,” I called out his name. He didn’t turn. Instead, he walked up to the stage. He took the mic from the announcer abruptly. “I appreciate everyone here tonight,” he began. “Your presence means the world to me.” Then he paused. “This evening is not about my anniversary. Rather I want to use this medium to correct a mistake." The room went silent. He looked straight at me. And I swear, I stopped breathing. Please God… don’t let this be what I think it is. Not here. Not now. “Two years ago, I married someone not out of love… but out of obligation.” “And tonight, I want to correct that mistake.” My heart skipped. “My marriage to Leah Quinn ends tonight.” And just like that my world shattered. The tears slipped down my cheeks, everywhere felt as if it was rotating. I sighted Vivienne— in the front row, sipping champagne with a wide smile, like she was watching the coronation of her son. And then, like a cruel joke from the universe—she appeared. Talia Quinn. My cousin. The one everyone wanted for him. She walked toward the stage with the grace of someone who knew she belonged with him. Cassian didn’t stop her as she slid her arm around him. “I believe it’s official now,” she said sweetly. “Cassian and I were always a perfect match.” And then— He kissed her. Long and slow. Right in front of me. Cameras all around me, taking pictures. I took a shaky step back. I could feel all eyes on me. People weren’t even whispering anymore. They were staring. At me . At the girl who didn’t belong here. “Leah,” Nia—whispered beside me, grabbing my hand. “Just breath” But I couldn’t. I needed to get out. I needed air. Space. Silence. I turned and ran. Out of the hall, down the stairs, to the driveway. I reached my car. I could hear Nia’s voice behind me. “Leah, wait!” I ignored her. My fingers fumbled with the key. I got in, slammed it shut, and started the engine. “Leah, don’t drive! Please just—” Her voice faded as I drove off. I didn’t know where I was going. I just drove. The tears came fast, hot and unstoppable. I held the wheel, blinking furiously. But no matter how far I drove, his words kept playing in my head over and over again “My marriage to Leah Quinn ends tonight.” I screamed. I screamed so loud my voice cracked. The rain started falling hard. The wipers couldn’t keep up. They had to be a reason, he couldn't just end our marriage of two years just like that. No matter what anyone said I knew he loved me. I could barely see anything, as I grabbed my phone to call him. And then— Headlights. A truck. Coming too fast. Too close. My hands tightened on the wheel. I swerved hard— “Ahhh!” I screamed. As I hit the brake. Tires screeched. Then— CRASH. I hit a tree. Then—I lost consciousness --- Everything hurts. Was I dead? No… I heard a voice. “Stay with me. Don’t close your eyes.” I blinked, barely able to open them. I could see a face. “Cassian…?” I mumbled. He shook his head. “No. I’m Aiden.” Cassian’s older brother. The one who disappeared from the media years ago. He looked so much like him, just a bit older. “Where—what’s happening?” I whispered. “You hit a tree,” he said. “But you’re alive. That’s what matters.” I tried to sit up, but pain in my back made me think otherwise. My hands flew to my stomach. “The baby—” “Still safe,” Aiden said. “You both are.” Tears blurred my eyes. I didn’t know if they were from relief or something else. “Where’s Cassian…?” “He’s not coming,” he said quietly. I shook my head. “No. He doesn’t know I was in an accident. If he knew—” “I called him.” That stopped me. “What?” “I called him,” he repeated, more firmly this time. “Told him you were hurt… that you could’ve died.” “And?” My voice cracked. Aiden looked at me—then away. “He said you’re as good as dead to him. He doesn't care about you.” “I just need to talk to him. Just once. I deserve that, don’t I?” “No!” Aiden said, his voice harsher. “You don’t need him in your life . Not after what he did. Not after tonight.” He reached into his jacket and pulled out a phone, speaking into it. “Prep the jet. She is awake, we will be leaving soon. Yes. Just me and her.” I stared at him, stunned. “What are you doing?” “Saving what’s left of you,” he said. “Let them believe you died tonight. Let him live with what he’s done.” My lips parted, but the strength to argue was gone. My vision blurred again I lost consciousness with only one thought in my head. Revenge.Aiden’s POVI opened the car door for her to enter but she was too busy looking around.“Oh my, it feels good to be out,” Rosy said, still looking around. “Ten years in that dump, breathing nothing but the stench of cheap bleach and dump and now—” She glanced around, inhaling again. “Now I can almost remember what power tastes like.”I held the door open a little wider. “Glad you’re enjoying the breeze.”She cut her eyes to me and gave me a face that meant business.“ Enough of the chit chat, how are the plans going?”“Smoothly,” I said. She looked at me and m, she laughed hysterically. The. She moved closer.“I didn’t spend ten years locked away,” she said slowly, “and I certainly didn’t waste twelve years prepping you up, Aiden, just to hear you mumble that things are going ‘smoothly.’” She said, mimicking the way I said smoothly. “Do you need me to remind you of who you were when I found you? Hmm?”I clenched my jaw. “No.”“I think you do.” She held my arm, her nails digging to my
Cassian's POV "No..." I whispered, as I stared at the flat-screen TV in my office. Leah didn’t just do that. She played it perfectly. Too perfectly. it wasn’t about her calling me a pedofile—God knows I probably deserve worse. But it was about the girl. Even though her face was partially blurred, even though she wore heavy makeup. Anyone who knew her would recognize that face. That she was Rosy’s daughter. And that for sure isn't good. I grabbed my phone and searched through the internet. I was trending or rather she was trending. #RosysDaughter. The comments were piling up. Speculations. Wild theories. But one post stood out. It had her full name. Her school. A recent photo. How on earth did Leah get her pics. My phone buzzed every second, from calls, to meessages. I ignored them all. I needed to control the damage first. I opened my laptop and drafted a quick press statement. "In light of the recent press statements made by Leah, I would like to clear the public t
Leah's POV I took a deep breath as I let them apply the finishing touch of my makeup. Then I heard a knock from the door and someone entered. It was Cassain. “ I just wanted to check up on you.” He said while closing the door I looked at him, trying to resist the urge of slapping him because I had a lot of pent up anger and things to say to him. “ Can you please excuse us?” I said to my makeup artist and everyone . They packed up and left my office, more like the storage room because clearly Vivienne made sure there was no office I could occupy so I had to stick to this. “ I am sorry, “ he said immediately as they left. I wanted to ask if he ever loved me but scratch that, I wanted to hit the bull by the horn. So I took the sharp hair pin on the table and walked to him. I moved closer to him, inches apart as I looked squarely in his eyes. And I pointed the sharp edge of the hairpin to my neck. “ Let me make it easy for you.” I said as I took his hand and placed i
Aiden’s POV“Damn it,” I muttered under my breath. The plan didn’t go how I wanted.Still, I wasn’t worried. Twenty years of my life had already gone into this, what were a few more months? Time wasn’t my enemy. The only thing standing in my way now was Leah. She wasn’t supposed to survive the warehouse fire.I had made sure everything was ready. The doors, the barrels, the timer. Everything. It would’ve been over. One clean sweep and I would finally have the Wolfe company all to myself. But then, Cassian just had to show up. He always had a way of messing things up. Maybe there was a way to use that to my advantage. Maybe I could turn this around.I knelt down and placed the single lily on my mother’s tombstone. “I’ll get the revenge you deserve,” I said , meaning every single word.“I promise, everyone who had a hand in your death will pay.” I continued fighting back the tears as I couldn't think of the painful memories ---I was ten when she died.My mom was strong. The kind of w
Leah's POVI banged the door hard—so hard I thought the door would break down. "Anyone here! Can someone please help me?" I shouted through the smoke. But there was no response. The smoke was suffocating. My eyes were watering. I coughed so hard I nearly dropped to my knees.Where the hell was my phone? Why didn’t I take it?I staggered backwards, hitting a crate. Everywhere was covered with smoke, I barely could see anything.I tried again. I screamed louder, my fust banging the door like my life depended on itBut still nothing.Damn it I shouldn't have come here, Aiden insisted I inspect the warehouse just in case Cassian or his mom tries to pull a fast one and since it was the workers lunchtime, it was just a perfect opportunity to inspect. Everyone who worked around here would be out.And now, I was choking to death trying to be smart. The heat was unbearable. I turned, covering my mouth with my sleeve, blinking through the smoke in the room , trying to search for anything tha
Cassian's POVThe boardroom was quiet. Old men in designer suits and women who believed their age could be hidden behind powdered faces all sat watching me like I was a boy who knew nothing about managing a company.“I have everything under control,” I said, not because I needed their assurance but just for formalities.Mrs. Sherry leaned forward in a frown. “ We don't need you to have everything under control, we need you to be in control and that would only be possible if your marriage to Talia happens.”There it was again back to Talia.I didn’t respond.Instead, I looked down at my wristwatch, watching time go because in about 3... 2... 1…Right on cue, the doors to the boardroom opened.Leah—no, Raven—walked in.Everyone turned and looked at her in shock , wondering who she was and why she was here. She didn't mind as she walked elegantly ignoring everyone.Vivienne stood up from her seat. “What are you doing here?” she snapped. “This meeting is for board members only. If you do
