“Babe '' Nathan called and Audrey jolted back to reality, for like five minutes he had been calling her name but she was lost in the reverie of her own thoughts and didn’t hear him.Audrey was still on the balcony where Louisa left her even though it was more than an hour. Her conscience was pricking her and she didn’t know how to face him. The more she thought about it, the more she felt the pangs of pain in her chest. Audrey twirled for the umpteenth time in front of the mirror as she forced her lips to curl into a smile.The maroon colored dress stood out impeccably on her body and the bright rouge on her lips made her look more alluring. The gown was bare to the shoulder and it had slit cutting up to the thighs making her hourglass figure look more natural and defined. His statement made Nathan ball his hand into a fist while his eyes darkened, he could let his father talk down on him but not his Vanessa. For a while Nathan didn’t say anything as the two of them kept standing and looking at each other. The time was already past eight when Audrey slowly opened her eyes and yawned a little, she could still feel the headache throbbing. The pills from the night before didn’t help much but before she could even climb out of bed, memories of what happened earlier became fresh in her mind and she shivered down to her spine. It was already past six when Audrey finally came back from her training and Nathan was waiting for her in the garden while a hotpot was simmering on the table in front of him, by his side Bunny was standing and he was the one looking over the hotpot.The minute she climbed out of the car, her phone beeped with a message and her lips curled into a smile when she saw who it was from.“Let’s have hotpot in the garden”This was a necessity for her and Vanessa, they both loved hotpot even if it was an Asian delicacy. While Audrey preferred veggies to non vegetarian dishes, Vanessa was the direct opposite. She loved her meat but they both enjoyed a well cooked hotpot.
