Putting all that aside, Derrick wanted to stop Meri and her daughter, Lala but how? When he actually didn't want to show his brother, Heron that something was going on and Meri knew everything. He was afraid he would yell at him as usual.

Moving away from the window, Derrick expected Heron to move his gaze along with his movement but no, he was looking outside where he saw Lala and Meri and it looked like they were heading to the main gate. Were they really leaving? He hoped they were not!

"Why are those two going? Did something happen downstairs?"Heron asked his brother who seemed to be swallowing hard like he expected the same thing to happen.

"I don't know."Derrick simply said.

"Is this all? I hope you didn't tell them anything, did you?"

"No sir. I didn't tell them anything."

"Then go. You have to stop them from leaving otherwise you know what I'll do to your...."he threatened.

"No sir, you don't have to hurt my mother. I'll stop them I swear."

"Hmmm, good. Okay go."

"Okay sir."

"Hey, call me brother for now. Don't forget the show is still on."

"Alright s...."he was going to say 'sir' again.

It didn't take long before Derrick approached Lala and her mother outside. "Hey Lala."

"Yes Derrick. How are you?"

"I'm perfectly fine. Why are you outside. It's your party, you have to enjoy yourself."

"Actually mother isn't doing well. She's gotten a headache, that's why."Lala said.

"Oh sorry about that. You didn't have to bring her here. We have some isolated rooms inside, I'm sure she'll be comfortable there."Derrick suggested just like a concerned person when deep down he knew what was bothering that woman.

"No dear. Mother will be fine here, right Mom?"

Considering this as a golden opportunity to collect evidence without interruptions, Meri quickly asked Derrick to take her to one of the isolated rooms claiming that she needed to rest a bit and just like that, Derrick showed her the the room where he left both of them and went to give the report to Heron who had been waiting for his turn up.

"Did you stop them."

"Yes brother. I handled the situation."

"Really? But tell me, what had happened with them. I hope they don't know anything about what's happening."

"Sure brother. They don't know anything."Derrick lied since he was aware that Meri knew it all.

"Good. So now go and have some dance with her. Make her feel loved because very soon....tables are going to turn for her and I'll enjoy that phase of her life after all it's the only reason I'm marrying her."

Derrick could feel this man's words pierce his heart just like a needle but he had nothing to do to set everything right. He was only committed to saving his mother who had been under Teddy's captivity for more than twenty years. Teddy was Gabera's legally wedded wife and everyone knew her as the only queen. She was Heron's mother. She was so arrogant and demanded respect all the time. She was always rude to every servant in the palace especially Derrick's mother, Arie because she was everyone's favorite servant.

Arie worked wholeheartedly before she made a place in everyone's heart around the palace and perhaps that's why king Gabera never thought twice before taking her to bed twenty one years ago.

After Arie was promoted from a mere servant to the king's restingroom attendant, she was so happy that she was going to make good money from these rich people little did she know that destiny had something else in store for her.

One day when she had dozed off on the king's restingroom, she was woken up by soft touches before she realized that it was king Gabera doing such to her.

Just like how any other teenager would, she picked herself down and apologized thinking that he only touched her while waking her up when actually it was the opposite. King Gabera always wished to get an opportunity and swim in her waters which had seemed like forever since he never got a chance to.

"I'm really sorry sir. I... I.. didn't know how I fell asleep suddenly."Arie hurried to apologize.

"It's okay dear. You're not a robot. I can understand."

"Thank you sir."she felt relieved that the king didn't yell at her even when she saw she was in wrong, had it been Teddy, she could've pulled her ears!

"I'll be outside Sir."Arie said before the king grabbed her hand. "You can't leave me in here alone girl. You know I'm scared of this light from the chandelier, don't you?"he was sounding helpless.

"I know Sir. Let me go and call the queen for you."

"Unfortunately she isn't around. She's gone abroad and she'll stay there for a week and come back after getting Heron admitted."

"What are you going to do then sir?"Arie felt some sympathy for the King. All the years she spent there, she had always heard that the king feared light from the chandelier and Teddy used to be there till he fell asleep but now, she wasn't around.

"I don't know dear."

"How about if I turn it off for you, won't it work?"

"I don't think so. Moreover I've already seen it so.... switching it off isn't going to help."

"May I maybe call your guards for you?"she asked.

"No. No dear. I can't let them know that I'm scared of light. They'd laugh at me tomorrow. Don't tell them please. Just let me die."

"What are you saying Sir. You won't die."

"What will you do to stop me because this fear is too much. I'm afraid you'll find a dead body if you leave me in here alone."

"Don't say such things sir. I won't let you die."

"How. How are you going to protect me tonight, will you stay here with me?"

"Well sir, I'll stay right here watching over you till morning."

"Wow. It seems my magic is working. I only have to act for a few more minutes and soon, I'll be enjoying the songs of her screaming my name. Control man, don't get horny so soon."the king breathed in excitement.

Just like she promised, Arie tried putting the king to sleep and after he had slept off. she walked and sat on the couch next to window.

She watched the king while he sounded asleep till morning when she heard the bird singing from the trees outside.

"Oh... it's morning already! Good morning Arie."

"Good morning my King. It's good you're awake. I'll go and set your dining table."she wanted to leave and then she heard him spoke behind her, "I won't be coming downstairs. I can't sit alone on that huge table and have meals. My wife isn't here."

"I understand Sir. I will bring your meals over here."

"That's so nice of you Arie." he praised and Arie was left shying around while she walked outside the room to get his breakfast.

It didn't take long before she appeared back in the room with everything he needed for breakfast.

"Thank you Arie."

"You're welcome my king."

King Gabera always took shower before meals every morning and his wife, Teddy would help him with scrubbing his back but here, she wasn't around.

Would he ask help from this girl again?

"Arie. Come inside and see."he called when he couldn't find a way to reach his back.

"What?"Arie's heart raced so fast responding to his call.

"Just come in. I'm wrapped in a towel don't worry. I just want you to fix something for me here."

"Can I maybe call the plumber for you Sir?"

"Hey, why do you fear me like that. I promise I'm not going to do anything to you. Don't tell me you don't trust me."

"I'm sorry sir. Of course I trust you. You're just like a father to me."Arie said and before he knew it, she was already in front of him as he stood naked just like how he came out of his mom's womb.

"Noooo!!!"Arie screamed in shock. That man had lied that he was in a towel but here, his man was swinging aimlessly between his legs.

"Don't feel scared dear. Just come closer and scrub my back with this sponge. Take it."he said putting it in her hands.

Moving her hands around with closed eyes since she didn't want to look at this man's nakedness, Arie didn't realize that she was touching his man. Maybe he turned deliberately so she could touch him.

"What are you doing Arie. You've touched my d**k. Don't tell me you need him."the king said which forced Arie to open her eyes and found that surely she was touching his man!

Dropping him off she quickly splashed her hands with water and turned to run out of the washroom before she saw the door shutting itself.
