“Tell me that the memories I got back then aren't true, Hugo!” I snapped in a deep, echoing voice; the sound of my wolf form.

Hugo snorted as he raised both hands, and then shrugged. “What do you want me to say, Barbara? That it is all untrue and you should not believe that vampire boy?” he grinned. “Because I have a strong belief you started to believe whatever you have experienced in that ward.”

My emotions suddenly ran high and I moved so fast, faster than the blink of an eye, lunged at the man with the scar on the cheek that we hit the stone wall of my room. I thought I had the upper hand, but in fact Hugo was able to attack me back by throwing my body until I fell onto the bed.

My breath jerks out sharply. I heard the sound of wood from the bed protesting that my weight fell on it suddenly. I quickly got up and got out of the damn bed.

“Stop, Barbara!” shouted Hugo with a face that started to show anger
