Episode 5

"He killed her" she whimpered

"It wasn't intentional right?, why would he keep it from me, then blamed me for failed parenting if it wasn't intentional" she added

"I knew the excuse was not adding up, Clara can't just wake up one day and start taking drugs and died at the process, He makes it seems so real, clearing all my doubt, making me believe of how I failed as a mother to protect my daughter" 

"And kept blaming me everyday, I had to live with the guilt every single day of my life while he is the one that is supposed to be living with that kind of guilt."

"He killed her, he pushed her to her death, he said she drugged herself and fell from being high and bashed her head on the wall at the process, while as he did it" she cried out 

"I had to take you in and care for you with all I can cos I don't want to make the same mistake twice knowing how hard it is to bring her into this world"

She said with tears. I held her hand urging her to let all the tears out.

"Grrr grrr grrr" my alarm rang waking me up from my sleep, I stood up and sleep walk to the bathroom to have my bath, after doing my business in the bathroom I proceed in getting dressed. It's Monday morning, and I will be leaving for school any moment from now. Somehow Zoe has been so hyped up about this, I mean she was dead silent a few days ago, so what's up with her sudden hype?

Anyway, that is her problem, not mine, even though I'm kinda concerned. I rearranged my skirt properly and picked up my backpack as I walked downstairs to meet Sandra in the kitchen. 

"The interior decorator really did a nice job". I thought as I descended from the stairs with my hands trailing on the railings while looking at the beautiful decorated living room.

"Morning mum" I said as I walked to the dining to grab a plate of pancakes and added jam

"Morning, Chloe" she said cheerfully then paused to have a rethink, like she just remember something.

"Wait, did you just speak to me?" She asked, looking at me weirdly, I'm sure she probably thinks she is hallucinating.

 I had decided to just be me and ignore every negativity thrown at me, I mean this is a new town, a new home, maybe old for Sandra, but it's new for me, a new school and new clothes. They should be a new me right? Plus Zoe make things pretty easier for me in making that decision, I might have been an orphan who has never been out from her shell, a wall she build for herself stopping her from associating with the world, playing the ghost character, allowing herself to believing she is miserable, being bullied for almost 15 years, and also having a different being in her to top it all, I could still try to be normal again, thankfully that we have to move here, whatever mission I'm here for I think I'm ready for it as long as it give me an opportunity for a fresh start, to come out of my wall and do the impossible.

 

"Yup" I said, popping the "p" sound staring at nothing but her face and I cant missed the excitement that radiate fromm her to the whole dining.

"Oh my God my baby can speak," she said with a cracked voice snatching me into a very tight hug. 

After listening to her story yesterday, I decided to make her happy and be happy to, even tho I had a slight remembrance of my past I know better on how painful to lose your family and to Mr Campbell I never thought he'd do such a thing, I mean Zoe have seen this beforehand, but I never thought it will be them, and also copouled with the fact that I don't understand the revelation, thanks to Zoe for been the queen of half Revelation. She finally let me go off the rib cracking hug.

"Is that tears in your eyes?" I asked looking at the glimpse of water on her face

"No, it's it's nothing," she said cleaning her tears with her palm "it's tears of joy you know" she added

"I always know you can speak but I I I don't know" she stammered. Alright, that is getting awkward.

"it's ok, Mum" I said cutting in

"You call me Mum?" She inquired with a teary face

"Oh my God, can today get any better," she added with a big smile while touching the bridge of my nose.

"I will be late for school," I said checking the  wristwatch she got me for my 15th birthday.

"Yeah, right, you should take your breakfast, and sorry I rumpled your uniform" she said while trying to straighten it for me with her hand.

"It's nothing," I said, straightening it with my hand like it's doing any good.

Is it funny I stayed up all night receiving lectures from Zoe on how to speak correctly and the correct response to give. How to start a conversation and stuffs. It's funny because ever since I've known her we haven't had any meaningful conversation, I never really accept her, cos I believe she is a curse that came to messed up my already messed up life.

And is it weird that she says she won't be  there for me all the time?

"Can I come in?" He asked after he had knocked then stepping to the dining room and grabbing a plate of pancakes that are meant for Sandra's

"You are in already"  Sandra said, rolling her eyes at him before giving him a hard glare.

"Mmmm, it's so good" he moans earning him another glare 

"Seriously, you could get yourself another plate Aunt San," he said with a mouthful of the delicacy

"You don't just take someone's stuff without telling them and expect them to take another one," she said

"Good morning," he said to me ignoring Sandra's speech

"Morning" I replied after gulping down a glass full of water

"Wait, you speak, talk to me?" He asked surprised.

The honks of the school bus alert us as I grabbed my backpack ignoring his question, I made to open the door but he beat me to it.

"Seriously?" I said with an eye roll.

We make our way to the bus with him leading and I trail behind him

"Good Morning Adam" Sean said to the bus driver

"Morning Sean, now get in, we are running late he said

I walked to the empty seat at the back while Sean went to meet his friends and well ignoring the stares I get, Zoe make sure I dumped my glasses and almost make me let my hair down, it was a struggle for yesterday on whose opinion is better

I bring out my phone from my backpack that has been turned off since forever, I almost forgot I have a smartphone. The bus start moving, I turned on my mobile data, Tons of notifications starts pouring in as soon as I did that, well from Garfield high social app actually. #Freak at no 1 trending

Tons of Nasty posts and comments about my encounter with the K-Queens and how I made a mess of myself at the cafeteria.

"Let me take care of this for you," Zoe suddenly said after I came across one post made by Katrina.

"Where have you been?" I asked.

"Doing what doesn't concern you, now let me take over and stop resisting, you poor little thing" she said.

I grabbed my phone and took some selfies of myself, the morning sun is really doing a good job on my skin.

"What are you doing?" I asked 

"Just wait and watch" she replied, I gave up it's always useless arguing with her anyway

"You look cute here" She gushed.

"You know I don't trust you with stuff like this" 

"Like I'm waiting for your approval" Zoe replied

"And done" she added

I gasped 

"What did you do?"

Well she posted the picture on my account on the Garfield social app with a caption saying this is me now, and Katrina only hated me cos of how beautiful I am and they can all suck on that
