~EARLIER THAT NIGHT~
~KARLA~ That night, Jason didn't come back to meet me and I couldn't have been happier. Jessie had come by earlier to open the door for me and had told me Jason was busy with work so it was the perfect time for me to escape. I grabbed the bread knife I had kept earlier and held it in my hand as I pushed the door open carefully. It was a large steel door so it made a lot of noise but luckily, no one was there. I did a double take before sprinting through the halls. There was no use wasting time, I needed to get out of here. I halted with a gasp when I saw some men and immediately hid behind a wall as they walked past. “I wonder what's going on? Where did Boss go with the others?" I heard one of them mutter, making me furrow my eyebrows. Jason wasn't here? “I don't know but good riddance we weren't among" Their voices faded and I took a deep breath before peeping to see if anyone else was coming. When I saw no one, I made a run towards the stairs and ran as fast as I could. My ankle was still aching badly but the adrenaline pumping through my veins was powerful. I almost let out a cry of hope when I saw the entrance. Finally I was going to be free. Upon reaching the door, I heard a voice behind me and my blood ran cold. “What are you doing outside of your room and where do you think you're going?" My whole body shook as I turned around to face Jason. My eyes widened and I backed up until my back hit the door. I thought he wasn't around?! “Ja… Jason? What are… what are you doing here?" I questioned and he glared at me. “Are you trying to run away from me?" I shook my head frantically with my eyes wide. “No I…" Just then, Jessie came from nowhere, pulled out a gun and shut Jason right in the arm. Everyone gasped as Jason fell to the ground which a groan while I stood there in shock. What just happened? “Run Karla. Run!" She heard and something snapped inside me, bringing me back into reality. I glanced at her one last time before pushing the door and running out of the warehouse. I gasped as I heard multiple gunshots and I knew something bad had happened to Jessie. Tears fell down my cheeks as I ran towards the back gate Jason had once shown me when we first started dating. It was hardly ever being guarded so I knew I could get out through there. “Find her Now!" My eyes widened when I heard Jason's scream and then the stomping of feet as they ran after me. I ran through the back gate and for the first time, I finally felt like I could breathe. I wanted to stop and admire the night sky and breathe in some fresh air but now wasn't the time. I needed to be sure I was safe. I cried out as a bullet flew right past me, hitting the car at my side. I briefly turned around and let out a gasp when I saw Jason's angry red eyes staring back at him as he ran towards me. If it weren't for all the people on the road, I was sure he would have changed into his wolf and pounced on me. I looked up ahead and squinted my eyes at the neon sign lights ahead and immediately ran towards it. They were close on my heels, I needed somewhere to hide. Jason was avoiding shooting carelessly so he wouldn't touch an innocent citizen. It wasn't because he cared but he didn't want to draw attention to himself so that meant I needed to be where a lot of people were. The building with the neon sign had a lot of people at the entrance so I assumed that had to be the same situation on the inside. I briefly glanced behind me and I let out a gasp after noticing just how close they were. I quickly rushed in, pushing past the sweaty bodies in front of me. I glanced behind me again before running through a hall that was full with people making out. I tried opening the numerous doors I saw but all of them seemed to be closed. I glanced behind me and let out a sigh when I couldn't see Jason or his goons. It seemed I had lost him in the swarm of bodies. I decided to try one last door at the end of the door and when it opened, I let out a sigh of relief before running in. I banged the door behind me then backed up slowly while still staring at the door. When I turned around, my face collided with something hard and I found myself falling down. Strong arms wrapped around my waist as I let out a gasp. I squeezed my eyes shut and only opened it when I had stopped falling. I glanced down at the man below me and for some reason, his presence reassured me. He had the safe aura around him that ease my troubles which surprised me. I've never felt this way with anyone, especially since I just met him. “Please, save me. I need you to hide me" Confusion etched on his face while he stared into my eyes. I tried reading his expression, a skill I had developed overtime with Jason but I couldn't. His expression was... empty. “I'm not into the whole hide and seek roleplay. I want to see all of you and I mean every inch" I froze as I stared at him with wide eyes. “Wha… what?" He grazed his thumb against my bottom lips with desire and lust in his eyes. “I want to see just how pleasurable these lips of yours can be" The blood drained off my face as I stared at him in shock. No! Not again!...~KARLA~ I scoffed in his face then immediately got off him and moved away as fast as I could before giving him the stink eye. “Do I look like a prostitute to you?" I whispered harshly. He sat up slowly with folded arms then his eyes trailed down my body, lingering on my boobs before meeting with my eyes again. “Is that a trick question?" He whispered back and I scoffed. “Look. I'll get out of your hair soon but please, I need a place to hide. They…" I let out a squeal when I heard Jason's voice just in front of the room door. “Search all the rooms immediately. We are not leaving here till she's found" My heart thumped in my chest as I trembled with fear. I turned back to the stranger who was staring at me with an amused look on his face. “Please help me, I'll do anything. If he gets a hold of me, he'll kill me" He tilted his head at me. “Hmmm, that seems like a you problem" I ran up to him and knelt down in front of the bed with my hands clasped together. “Please. Don't you h
I held onto her waist tightly with an arm while my hand was pressed firmly behind her head for support. I turned to the men in front of us with a humorless smile on my face. “Gentlemen, is there a problem?" The guy who I now knew as Jason just kept staring at my arm that was wrapped around her waist with a venomous intent in his eyes. I smirked as I tightened my arms around her. “I asked a question and I expect an answer" I uttered with the same smile on my face which seemed to anger Jason as he suddenly let out a loud growl. “Hand the girl over to me. You do not want to mess with me" I tilted my head with a smirk. “I've heard louder growls, wolf. You don't scare me" He snarled and was about to take a step towards me when my men immediately came running with their guns pointed at Jason and his group. “Take your leave and don't cause a scene, Jason" I muttered slowly and was about to turn around when he howled loudly. “She's mine, I'm not going to let you take her!" I paused in
~KARLA~ After dropping that bombshell on me, I didn't see the stranger for like two days straight and I have been counting because I have nothing else to do with my time. I tried getting some sleep but no matter what, all I see is Jason's angry red eyes glaring down at me. I sighed as I sat up on the bed before letting out a yawn. When was the stranger going to be back for me? I was getting sick of this hospital and the smell. Could he have changed his mind and decided he didn't want the extra baggage I carried with me? I wouldn't blame him though, even I wouldn't want to have anything to do with me. I let out another sigh as I climbed out of the bed. The only reassurance I had that the stranger was coming back was the two hefty guards just standing right outside my door. I tried speaking to them once to ask about the stranger's name but they ignored me like I was air. How rude! So I gave them space and went along with my daily duties of standing by the window and waiting for the
The ride down to the stranger's house was eerily quiet. He and I were the only ones in his car which I was grateful for just in case I had another melt down. I knew he could feel my eyes on him with the way he kept glancing at the rear view mirror but not once did I look away. After a while, he sighed. “Do you want something?" He questioned and I immediately nodded. “Did I offend you? If I did, I didn't mean to" He sighed again. “You didn't offend me" “Then why are you being so grumpy all of a sudden?" He was quiet for a while then he let out a chuckle and some sort of happiness filled my heart. Gosh, I need to stop feeling all these things for this man that I didn't even know. For one, he could even be worse than Jason and this nice Guy was just a facade. “I've never been called grumpy before," I pouted. “Well you should be called grumpy because you have been acting grumpy ever since we met. Is it because of me? Am I the probl
~LEVI~ Hearing Karla scream had been the last thing I expected when I walked into the house. Lucien had nagged me out of my room and forced me all the way over to sign some documents which I did sluggishly and just as I was about to leave, I heard her. Without thinking, I rushed towards her room and when I saw her on the ground, my eyes widened. Before I could rush towards her, she stood up from the ground and wrapped her arms around me so tightly like I was her only source of hope. “He's here, you can't let him take me. I'm begging you" She muttered and I tightened my arms around her as she shook with fear before turning to Sebastian. “Check out the window, Sebastian" Sebastian nodded then walked towards the window and glanced down. We all knew there was no chance in hell that Jason was in the vicinity but just to Calm Karla down, I asked him to check. “There's no one there" She immediately raised her head and shook it frantically while staring up at me.
~KARLA~ “Home sweet home I guess" I heard Levi mutter as I glanced around his huge mansion. It wasn't as big as the castle outside but it was definitely much more beautiful and modernized on the inside but something was off, it felt… cold. “You are the only one who stays here?" I questioned as I turned to him and he nodded. “Yes. The cleaners and cooks come early in the morning and leave before I wake up so technically, I'm here all by myself" He murmured then flashed me a tight lipped smile which made me frown. “Don't you get lonely?" He stared at me for a while then chuckled. “Well I am used to loneliness since I've been alone for the most part of my life and now, I just find comfort in it. Come on, let's get you to bed" He murmured and tried pulling me towards the stairs but I stayed rooted to my spot, causing him to turn back to me with a confused look on his face. “What is…" Before he could complete his sentence, I ran straight into his arms, wr
~KARLA~ While I had my bath as fast as I possibly could, I could still feel the heat on my cheeks as I thought of Levi. Gosh, I have never in my life seen a man with such defined and toned abs like him. Not only was his face perfect but his body as well. Then his bulge… “Snap out of it, Karla" I muttered as I gave myself a hard slap. Why was I thinking about my boss that way? “You just don't learn your lesson" My wolf sneered in my head and I sighed because she was right. I had lusted over Jason the same way I was lusting over Levi right now and look how that turned out. Damn, I sound like those hormonal wolves in those fantasy romance books! After having my bath, I walked out of the bathroom ready to walk up to Levi and ask him for clothes when I saw some clothes on the bed. I let out a sigh as I walked towards the bed. I was grateful I didn't have to go back into his room and unintentionally see his nakedness. “That's exactly what
~LEVI~ I let out a groan as I rested my back on the car seat. What was I thinking? I had just wanted to tease Karla and make her blush some more but for some reason, it… the way she looked at me with eagerness and lust turned me on. Most times when women look at me that way, I either feel nothing or disgust but for her, it was different, too bloody different that it made me angry. I hardly even knew her and I wasn't attracted to her, was I? Even if I was, it was just purely sexual. Ever since I met her, that sexual tension has been looming over our heads. I had tried to ignore it but just ended up making it worse with what I did today. “Fuck, I need to get laid" I muttered as I massaged my temples. Just then, Lucien climbed into the car and sat down beside me. “Didn't I ask you to stay home and watch after Karla?" Lucien sighed. “Sebastian said he would watch after her. Besides, I need to talk to you about something" I furrowed my eyebr
