A woman with a big round belly is currently in the market shopping for groceries.
She sighs.
She had been hiding for eight months, and his parents delayed their flight because of the typhoon.
She should stay home relaxing and preparing for the day, but she is buying their needs in the market.
She didn't have a choice since she was living alone in Singapore.
We were escaping the eyes of the media in the US.
She is known to be the sole heiress of the Dela Fuente Company, and she didn't want to ruin their family image.
She decided to keep the baby but was hurt when she knew she needed to hide her existence.
She wanted her baby to be known as her daughter.
She carries her groceries, and it's a bit heavy, so she decides to take a cab.
She is living in a penthouse. Her father pulls up some strings to buy her a comfortable home.
Her parents did everything she needed, and she is thankful for that.
When she got to the building, the elevator was on maintenance.
She sighs. She is living on the 30th floor.
She waited for it to be fixed, but she got bored.
She assists the front desk with her groceries and tells them to put them in her unit.
She decided to take a walk outside the building.
She saw many families in the park near where she was staying.
She smiled bitterly; she knew she couldn't give it to her child. She keeps blaming herself every day for her mistake. But she is always thankful for the gift she receives.
She took a seat on a bench and watched the sunset.
She promises herself that she can do this.
Because she now has a reason, she is fighting for the circumstances that she faces.
Georgina Dela Fuente POV
I touch my belly again because it strikes another pain.
"No, baby, wait for your grandparents."
I didn't expect this to be the day I was waiting for.
I have no one to call here; they are still at the airport.
"Arghh!" I feel my water break.
I am a week ahead of my due date!
I call my parents, and they are on their way.
I calm myself even if it hurts.
I should have known that I could give birth anytime in that month!
I waited for more than 15 minutes before they arrived.
They even brought the medics with them.
"Mom! My bag!" I shouted.
I feel they are panicking. Who wouldn't be?
This is the longest ride on the elevator.
We know we can catch a lot of attention.
But thanks to my parents' influence, we can keep my journey a secret.
"Argh, Mom!"
"Hold on, honey, and you can do it!" She cheered me up.
We arrived in the ambulance, and they drove the vehicle so fast.
My OBGyne is in the ambulance and checks me.
"Do you feel the urge to push?" I shook my head.
"This may be hard work; we will help you to ease the pain."
I bit my lip because it struck another pain.
They let me rest on the hospital bed and waited for the perfect time.
I only saw this in movies, and I am already experiencing this.
"You can do this, honey," My mom and dad are on my side, whispering soothing words.
"I'll stay outside, and I feel I will puke!" Dad rushes out.
"Your dad was just like that when I was about to give birth to you, and he keeps going outside to puke, shout, jump. Anything will calm him." I managed to chuckle but was stopped by another contraction.
"It hurts," I whispered. Mom smiled at me and held my hand even though I grasped it too tightly.
"Your dad collapses upon seeing you," I smiled.
How I wish I also have another one to ease my pain.
My doctor rechecks me.
"Prepare the delivery room!" she shouted.
Mom changed her outfit also and decided to join me inside.
"One, two, three, push!"
"Aaah!" She instructed me to take some short breaths from my mouth.
"Push!"
"Aargh!" I hear my mom cheering me up.
We executed more pushes before I heard the most angelic cry ever.
"It's a girl," I smiled and silently prayed.
They give my child to me for the skin-to-skin moment.
I ask Mom to capture some footage and take pictures.
This is one of the greatest blessings I have ever received.
"What is her name?" I look at my mom.
"Scarlett Andrea,"
The next thing I knew, the darkness swallowed me.
I woke up in my room.
I saw my mom and dad sitting on the sofa, resting.
They look exhausted, and I feel so sorry.
"Georgina?" I smiled at my mom.
"Where is my daughter, Mom?" before she could speak, a soft knock echoed into the room, and I saw my doctor and the nurse holding my child.
"Hello, Ms. Dela Fuente," I smiled at her.
The nurse handed my baby to me.
"You can breastfeed the baby," my dad turned around.
"This is the form you need to fill up, and I wanted to congratulate you on your successful delivery. This is your child's journal. You can bring it whenever you will for a checkup," I nodded and got the journal.
The doctor bids goodbye because she will also check on her other patients.
I look at my child's face. She is so beautiful.
"You still didn't want to know who is her father?" My mom asks softly.
"Even I wanted to know him, but I don't know where he is. Sorry, Mom, for my mistake." She holds my hand and looks at me lovingly.
"We decided not to let you have the company if you haven't found a husband." My eyes widen.
"Dad, you know how much I love to have your company. I work hard to be on top!" I argued but saw how serious they were based on their faces.
"Don't stress yourself in the company; we will let you care for your child. I'll give you my blessing if she is old enough and if you give me her father's name." I sigh.
I need to check who the hell he is.
We stayed at the hospital for two days for my baby's screening and checkup. My doctor instructed and advised me, and I am very thankful for that because I am a first-time parent.
Mom suggested that they should buy a house for me.
Dad agrees. That's why I now live in one of the most luxurious villages in Singapore—the perks of having wealthy parents.
They have already prepared everything before we can get home.
Dad decided to return to the US after settling fine in the house.
Mom suggested staying here for the first month to guide me.
They even prepared everything I needed.
I now have two housemaids and one driver.
My daughter was already spoiled by her grandparents because of the luxuriousness of her room.
"Thank you for everything, Mom,"
"You're always welcome."
I look at my mom handling my daughter. I saw how happy she was, but I always remember how disappointed they were when I broke the news.
I accepted all of the harsh words they said for the first time. Who wouldn't get mad? They know their daughter as modest and wise.
They accepted me and said sorry right after that day.
I am so lucky to have parents like them.
I will treasure their love and understanding forever.
I have my mom by my side, helping me each night.
Being a mother is a challenging task.
But I will do my best to provide everything that my daughter wants.
Hi! I am now editing chapter 1! I wanted to hear your opinions, and I hope you'll leave reviews on my book. Thank you!
Six years later… Georgina POV “Andrea!” I saw her giggle and keep running away. I chase behind her, and she seems to enjoy it. We are playing in our backyard. She just has finished her lectures. She is homeschooled due to her status. As a hidden daughter of the Del Fuente heiress. “Mommy, catch me if you can!” I smiled and tried to catch her. “Waah!” I tickle her. “Mommy! Stop! Hahaha,” I stop and hug her. “You’ve been playful lately,” she pouted. I pinch her cheeks because my daughter is so cute. “Our house is boring; I want to go outside.” I sigh. “You know we can only go outside once a week, right?” She nodded. “But I wanted to experience playing in playgrounds, stay longer in malls, and have a complete family.” I was hurt upon seeing my child’s eye longing for that day. “Andrea, Mommy promises you to have a normal life, okay? You should trust me and wait for that day to come. Mommy is fixing some things.” “How about Daddy? I didn't see him since I was a baby.” I lo
I got up early because I needed some cash on hand. I planned to go to the bank personally because I would cash out a significant sum to find a fake husband. "Madam, are you sure you will visit the bank personally?" I nodded at my assistant. She used to do it, so she's ensuring I go out. "I'll just notify the driver," I nodded at her. "Good morning, Mommy!" I look at my daughter at my door. "Hello baby, good morning!" I kissed her on the cheeks and hugged her. "Are you leaving Andrea?" She pouted. I smiled at her and made her sit on my bed. "I will go outside because of business. Mommy promises to reward you f you have been a good girl." She smiled at me. "I wanted a new color, Mommy, with a princess design." "Sure baby, Mommy will buy that for you." I bid my goodbye to her as she watched my car leave. She waves happily. As soon as the gate closed, I breathed out heavily. I guessed this was the day to find a fake husband. I hope this is easy work. "Madam, we will cancel
I saw the polices pointing guns at us, and the man I had talked with was standing before the robber. "Sir, we beg your cooperation to stay away from the scene," The police on the megaphone said, but he seemed to ignore it. He looks at me before looking at the robber. In a swift move, I landed on his chest before hearing gunshots. He hugs and covers me. All I can do is to pray silently for our life. "Miss, are you okay?" I opened my eyes and saw the polices capturing the robbers. "Miss," I feel him shaking my shoulder. "I am fine, thank you," he sighs. "Sorry I caused you trouble," I smiled at him. I saw the media making their way, which made me hug him and hide my face. "What are you doing?" I hear some playfulness in his voice. "Hide me. I will give you money after this." He covers my face with his arms as I hear reporters approaching us. I feel like he's covering his face, also. "Sir, can we have an interview?" "Ma'am, sir, can we take a clear photo." "What happened
Georgina's Point of View I contacted my dad to tell him I already found someone. He asked some questions and decided to investigate Wilson's whereabouts. I supported his decision. Even though he saved me and showed kindness, it doesn't mean I gave my trust already. I should be careful. I smiled and rested my back in my swivel chair. My dad's people were already working on the incident earlier and tried to cover my existence in the scene. "Hi, Mommy!" Upon seeing me in my office here in the house, my baby greeted me. "Hi, how was your day?" She showed me a jar. "I catch this beautiful butterfly from the garden, Mommy. Nanny helps me." I nodded. "Honey, you should free the butterfly. Did you know that a butterfly only lives not more than a year? Let her be free and enjoy the nature it lives with." She smiled at me. "I will let her go, Mommy so that she can enjoy her life with her family." She ran towards the window and opened the lid of the jar. We watched the butterfly fly awa
Georgina's Point of View I just waited for him inside the café. The good thing is there are only a few people. I chose the seat where it's where it has fewer people. I saw him enter the café, and all eyes were on him. Who wouldn't be? He is dashingly handsome. What did I say? I raise my hand. He smiled upon seeing me, and I couldn't help but smile. "Hi," He winks at me. But it was not uncomfortable since I knew it was his characteristic. He is like this the first time I meet him. "I am glad you accepted my invitation, but I badly needed to tie the knot with you." My voice suddenly cracks. His eyebrow met. "Are you okay?" Whenever I hear those words from someone, I suddenly break down even though I want to say I am. I suddenly cried silently. "Hey," He comes closer to me. He holds my hand. I look at him. His face is now stoic, and he is just looking at me. "My parents got into an accident, but they suspected it was not an accident. Someone is trying to kill my parents. I
Georgina's Point of View We are going back to the US, and we are currently riding an airplane. I look at Wilson and Andrea. She didn't leave Wilson and wanted him to be on her side always. I am pretty jealous; she prefers her fake dad to me. We are in the business suit, and my secretary has chosen a flight. There are only a few people in this suit. Andrea is sleeping and tired from playing with her dad earlier. We bought some toys for her to have a pastime. This is a long fight. I am reading some books and still can't sleep. I was wondering how was my parent's situation now. We already told Andrea what happened to them, and she cried so much. I am so thankful that Wilson knows how to calm her faster. He is good at handling kids. "You okay?" I look at him. "I should be the one who asks you that? She is a bit heavy, and it's been 3 hours." He smiled and supported Andrea's back. She wanted to sleep on his lap. "It's fine, and I lift things heavier than her. A piece of cake
Chapter 8 Georgina's Point of View "Mommy?" I look away. "Why, baby?" "You look perfect!" I smiled and looked at Wilson again. But he is looking at me. "Let's change back to our clothes," I asked him, and he nodded. I observe how he fixes the suit. He is cautious; I think he also knows how expensive it is or is just an organized man. He changes first while Andrea looks at me as her actual princess. "Oh, Mommy, how about me?" I give her the paper bag where her clothes are. "Here, baby," She clapped her hand when she saw it. "Thank you, Mommy! You love me, right?" I nodded my head. "Of course! Mommy also wanted Andrea happy!" I tickled her, and her laughs echoed in the room. We look at Wilson already in his pajamas. "I'll change first, okay?" She nodded and ran towards her dad. "Daddy, look at the dress Mom gives me; it is pretty, right?" "Yes, Andrea will be a princess tomorrow!" I smiled when he rode Andrea's excitement. I still hear their voices in the bathroom. I
Georgina's Point of View "Good morning!" I woke up when I heard Wilson's voice. "Wow," I looked behind me and saw Andrea. I looked at Wilson, and he prepared breakfast. I look at the clock and sigh, relieved that it is just 6 a.m. "You make pancakes, Daddy? Thank you!" I smiled at him. "I am the one who does that, you know," he winks at me. He helped us fix the bed, and we decided to have breakfast on the balcony. I agree since we don't need to hide anymore; if someone sees us is okay since we can have a witness that we are a real couple. I am optimistic somebody will recognize me. "Eat Georgina," I look at Wilson, helping Andrea eat her pancake with strawberries and whipped cream. I nodded and got some. I smiled upon tasting it. "Is it good?" He asked, and I nodded. "Thank you," I said to him. We continue eating silently. I was a bit surprised upon seeing my favorite tea. "Your secretary once told me you loved that, so I prepared some." I bit my lip because I may look
