Aurora.

I sneaked out of my room, I was already getting sick of been locked up like a dog in a cage. I walked through the long, corridors of the house, my footsteps echoing off the walls.

Where was everyone?

Everything was still, almost too still. The pack house felt like it was holding its breath, like it was waiting for something to happen.

As I made my way down a narrow hallway, I stumbled upon something that made my blood run cold.

Through a partially open door, I caught the voices of two people. The first voice was unmistakable—the Beta. But the second was the alpha's stepmother. I froze, not wanting to make a sound. My heart pounded in my chest as I pressed myself against the wall, careful to stay out of sight.

“I told you, Beta,” the Luna’s voice was sharp, “Get Ethan to sign those papers. We can’t afford to waste any more time, I want him out of that throne, don't you get it?.”

The Beta’s response was low, but I could hear the tension in his voice. “It’s not as simple as you

Ivan.I couldn’t believe it. How the hell had the diamond ring ended up in my room? I had been so careful, so meticulous in ensuring that it would be found in Aurora’s room, making it seem like she had stolen it. She was the perfect scapegoat—too naive, too trusting. I had played my cards right. Or at least, I thought I had. But now, here I was, standing in my room, trembling with rage, the humiliation burning through me like a wildfire. How had she done it? How had Aurora managed to switch the ring without anyone noticing? My fingers clenched into fists as my mind raced, trying to piece together the situation. Had she figured out what I was doing? Had she somehow known that I had planted the ring in her room? It didn’t make sense. I had carefully staged it, making sure the guards didn’t suspect anything. And yet... the ring was in my room.I slammed my hand against the table in frustration, knocking a glass to the floor where it shattered into pieces. The noise was nothing compared t

Aurora.I couldn’t breathe. The air around me felt thick, like I was suffocating. My chest tightened, and with each breath, it became harder to get enough air. I stood by the windowsill, my hand gripping the edge of the cold marble, trying to steady myself. But it wasn’t working. Panic surged within me. Something was wrong, something terrible. The coffee. The taste of cinnamon still lingered in the back of my throat. I hadn’t thought much about it at first, but now, my lungs were seizing. It felt like fire coursing through my veins, and I couldn’t stop the coughing.“Vivian!” I gasped, clutching my throat. “Vivian!”Within seconds, Vivian was at the door, her eyes wide with alarm. “My lady?” Her voice was urgent, and she rushed to my side, supporting me as my body shook with another violent cough.“I need to go to the hospital,” I managed to say between wheezing breaths. My head spun, and the world around me began to blur. She didn’t hesitate. Vivian didn’t ask questions. She was alre

EthanLast night was unbelievable! I couldn't believe my wolf could not control himself around Aurora. He's always like that, giving us away and making me look weak in front of her.But now, I have to shove that thought aside.I stood at the head of the long conference table, my hands pressed against the cool surface of the polished wood. A wave of frustration simmered beneath the calm exterior I forced myself to maintain. The room was thick with tension as all the ministers sat before me, their faces either stone-cold or carefully neutral. I could feel their eyes flicking toward one another, the subtle exchanges of glances that suggested they were all wondering the same thing.None of them knew why they were here. None of them knew what was coming. “Who sent the letter?” I asked, my voice ringing out sharply through the silence.Every pair of eyes turned toward me, but there was no immediate response. I could practically see the gears turning in their heads, all of them calculating

Aurora. The door slammed open with a force that made my heart lurch in my chest. Before I could even register what was happening, strong hands gripped my arms and shoved me forward, sending me crashing face-first into the cold floor. The impact rattled through my entire body, and my breath caught in my throat as pain shot up my spine. My cheek scraped against the rough surface, and I gasped, feeling the sting of it, but I didn’t dare cry out.I was still in shock. Still trying to process the events that led me here. How had Ethan found me? How had he tracked me down despite everything I had done to stay hidden, to keep Ama safe from the chaos he brought into our lives? My mind swirled with a thousand questions, but the one that rose to the surface of my panic-stricken thoughts was the most pressing: Why is he still here? Why was he still after me, after everything that had happened three years ago when he rejected me so cruelly?I pushed myself up from the floor, my hands shaking as I

Ethan.I couldn’t stop myself from staring at her. The moment I saw Aurora standing in front of me, everything else faded into the background. My anger, which had been simmering for so long, was still there, but it had shifted. It was no longer just anger—it was something darker, something primal. My wolf paced restlessly inside of me, urging me forward, urging me to claim her, to drag her back to where she belonged. My breath caught in my throat as I watched her, her figure more beautiful than I remembered, the same fiery defiance in her eyes. It didn’t matter how much time had passed; the effect she had on me was undeniable. Three years. Three fucking years. And I couldn’t stop myself from wanting her. From needing her."You’re the last person I ever thought we bother searching for me," Aurora said, shaking. "What the hell are you doing in my apartment? How did you sneak in?"I clenched my fists at my sides, struggling to keep my wolf in check. I could feel the urge to snap, to take

Aurora. The sound of Mr. Harper's voice was the only thing I could hear at the point, harsh and sharp. His words were venomous, the kind that made my stomach churn. "Aurora! What the hell is this? This is the kind of incompetent work I expect from an intern, not someone with your title. What are you doing? Do you even care about your job?" His voice echoed through the office, loud enough to make every head turn in my direction.I froze. not that this was the first time this was happening, but then I think I've had enough of him already. My fingers gripped the edge of my desk, knuckles turning white. I had spent countless sleepless nights trying to get this project right. I had skipped meals, ignored calls from friends, and barely saw my daughter all week, just to make sure the report was perfect. And for what? To be met with this. But my mind was too numb to even process the words. All I could think of were the sleepless nights, the endless revisions, the constant fear of disappointin

Ethan.I was so damn angry!I could feel the anger brewing inside me the moment I stepped out of the car. My hands clenched into fists, white-knuckled, the anger swirling inside me like a tornado. The drive home had been a blur, but the image of Aurora, and that of the little girl that called her mommy kept playing in my head. And the audacity. The absolute audacity.I couldn’t believe it. Aurora was pregnant with my child before I’d even rejected her and she didn't even say a word of it to me. The idea was enough to make my blood boil. She had my child, and she hadn’t even bothered to let me know. She ran. Disappeared. And what hurt the most was that she didn’t think I was worth telling. Like I didn’t deserve to know.As I stormed through the gates, the fury building up inside me, I barely registered the familiar stone walls of the estate, the pristine landscape that usually calmed my nerves. Today, everything felt suffocating.I barely made it to the front door when I heard voices.

Ethan.“Uncle Ethan!”I barely had time to brace myself before a small, curly-haired missile crashed into my legs. I let out a huff of laughter, crouching down to scoop my niece into my arms. She wrapped her arms around my neck, her giggles warm against my skin.“There’s my girl,” I murmured, giving her a gentle squeeze. “Did you today, Emma? Did you drive your teachers crazy? Are you going to end up needing to explain something to Mom?”She pulled back, nodding with a seriousness that only a four-year-old could muster. “I shared my crayons and didn’t push Danny off the slide, even though he was being super mean. I'm not going to tell mom that I did anything wrong. I did everything correct today. I even got a golden star. My teacher said that I was a good girl.”“Good girl.” I smoothed a stray curl from her face. “That’s what Alphas do, right? Stay strong and fair. You don't push others, nor do we tease them. We stand strong by their side and we teach them how to be good. That is why
