Laila was fast and took 2 steps back while shaking her finger as a “no” sign. The guy smirked but started to dance as if they were friends.

This is it! I had to go to her and show everyone that she was mine. I hopped from the stool and in a few long strides, I was in front of her. She smiled at me. I glared at the guy, and he reluctantly left. I created within me the most powerful aura I could muster and allowed it to roll off me. I glared into the eyes of every single male that was looking her way. Though I was not a ranked wolf, I was still the best warrior and I came from the Beta bloodline, so that gave me some power. The wolves submitted and looked away. Some gave a nod in acknowledgment that this girl was off-limits. Humans felt something too and got the hint. Some looked away as well, though still sometimes stole glances her way.
