Florence POV: We pulled up to the main gates, it’s been six weeks since I’ve been home, I looked to mum and dad who were smiling just as happily as I was, excited to be home. One of the pack guards came over to greet us as we drove in ”Welcome back Sir Alpha Madam Luna and Lady Florence it is so nice to have you home safe and sound” “Oh were just fine” my mother replies ”were so happy to be home though” “that’s great, I’ll open the gates for you now” he walked back to the gate and called for it to be opened from the inside.. we nodded our heads in thanks, and our driver took us through our little city. When we left six weeks ago I had never seen it, so although it only took ten minutes to drive through the narrow roads, I still took it all in, with my face practically pressed up against the window, I couldn’t wait to explore it properly and get to know the people here. We came out of the city and reached the village, but I noticed it seemed different today, although I had never be
I woke up the next day and removed the bandages and just as I had expected my skin had completely healed, thanks to my quick wolf healing. I led back down and decided to sleep some more I wasn’t feeling hungry just yet and I lacked the motivation to have anything else to wake up for… no people and no responsibilities. When it reached around noon I finally decided to wake up and have some fruits I had collected to eat. I got dressed and grabbed all of my bloodied bandages and left my cave, I walked for a few minutes then dug a deep whole and put all of the blood stained items in it then covered it back up, so the scent wouldn’t be tracked easily. But it occurred to me that I couldn’t keep chucking out my clothes.. No… I needed something airy but something I could wear over my clothes every day and wipe clean… I looked around at the forest hoping something would catch my eye that I could fashion into something… but how the hell am I supposed to make some sort of wipe clean clothing ga
Florence POV: It’s been over a year now since we lost Lelanna and things hadn’t gone back to normal, at least not for Sam and Layton or her family. I thought back to when we had started the search for her, the warriors that had been handpicked by Layton and Sam had searched high and low even with Layton and Sam by their sides, day and night, but still week after week, month after month, they would return with no news. They would come back and tell me, father and mother that there was no scent, lost clothing or weaponry, nothing at all that could lead us to her or even to know if she was still alive. It gradually had a draining effect on them both. Luckily the three groups of 12 warriors we had picked to join the mission had stuck to their word and not told anyone, they had all shown their loyalty, but for most of them they knew Lelanna or knew of her and they all held a high respect for the fact that she was a skilled warrior and so close to my family. I remember Sam’s face when La
Two years and eight months later I leapt from tree to tree chasing down the last rogue from the group of 8 that attempted to kill me and failed, although this one had the big vile mouth and was happy to kill and eat me, he is now the one that’s running fast as his skinny legs could go and from what I can hear, he’s yelping out of fear.... good, I love it when I scare them…. serves the assholes right! He kept looking back as he ran trying to see if I was chasing him down and I had to stifle my laugh as he was clueless, I was trailing after him through the trees. Just as he come to a stop, puffing and panting, thinking he’s safe I moved ahead and dropped down from the trees landing in front of him with a big grin on my face, startling him. “Where do you think you’re going you little coward? from what I recall, you’re the one that wanted to tear my limbs off” "I’ll fuckin kill you, you bitch” he spat as sweat ran down his face and his eyes raised up in fear I tutted and shook my he
One week later I had eventually left that night but every day for a week I have been coming back and so have they, however they haven’t been staying as long. But they had a plan… of course they did. I wish I could just march through the boarders and communicate with the Alpha and Luna here, but I know that I must smell like a rogue just as much as these idiots did, I’d most likely be caught, arrested and left in a cell to rot or killed before I even got to speak a word. My old pack was a lot more merciful to lone rogues than other packs that I had heard about. We’d always show restraint and give the rogue a chance to speak before their fate was decided. Most of the ones that crossed our boarder were scared and desperate to escape the forest and have a safe home, but some packs weren’t as lenient. I might be able to take on and kill a handful of rogues by myself, but I didn’t know my chances against skilled, trained warriors and I didn’t particularly want to take my chances. What wa
I woke up the next morning, stretching my arms and legs in my sleeping bag, I rubbed my eyes, then they suddenly flashed open as I remembered what I was supposed to be doing today, or more so, who! even saying in my head “I’m seeing Heath today” felt so strange. I quickly got up and put on some shorts and a strap top and my boots. I left the cave and took my leather armor and ran down to the stream not far from the cave. one by one I started to wash each item in the water, once it had all been scrubbed, I did my usual… cover it with Lavender. I had no idea how I smelt now, and it made me feel a bit embarrassed to think id stink like a typical rogue. I headed back home and hung all my stuff in the tree outside as the sun shone brightly above me so I knew it wouldn’t take long to dry. I decided to check all my traps as I hadn’t done it yesterday, luckily, I had caught two rabbits and a squirrel. Today I’ll cook one of the rabbits I thought. The cooked meat melted in my mouth as I ate
I woke up at first light, I quickly washed my armor rubbed lavender onto them and left them to fry under the sun then headed to the warm pools to bathe, I wanted to smell as fresh as I could before I headed to Heath’s and with how drastic things have changed for me, I needed a moment to breathe. Once I was washed, I chucked on my shorts and top and headed back home to eat, I stuck to fruits so I wouldn’t smell of cooked wild animal. I Put on my now dry armor and ran my fingers through my hair to detangle any knots to look as tidy as possible, I tied it back, then I made my way to Heaths as soon as it reached noon. When I got to his boarder, Heath and Mitch were already waiting and I noticed a twinkle in Heath’s eyes as his gaze fell on me ”there’s our little warrior" he smiled brightly as he opened his arms to bask me in a hug and this time I returned without hesitating. “SO, I was thinking” I said as I stepped out of the hug ”I want to speak to the boy myself today, I want to know
I woke up as the sun was bracing the sky, the light flickering onto my eyes as it peeped from behind the clouds, I opened my eyes and as I lifted my head to look at Heath, I just watched him for a few moments, mulling over my feelings for him when all of a sudden his eyes shot wide open. He sniffed the air and suddenly sat upright. I sat up next to him worriedly and held his arm “What? what is it, Heath?” I smelt the air, is there rogues? is that what he’s sensing? But I couldn’t smell any threat around us. He sniffed again but inhaled even deeper and quickly stood up ”MATE” he called out and without so much as glancing at me he took off in full speed down the hill and ran toward the gates at the entrance of the pack land. I watched him run further away as a cold shiver went down my spine and a lump formed in my throat, I just sat there frozen in my spot. When I finally managed to snap myself out from my shock, the only thing I felt I could do right now was to leave and go back hom
