2 || Boyfriend

"Why will you do that?"

Lilian couldn't help asking. A little ago he left saying all those and now he was back and all ready for this.

"I love drama and challenging things." Shane replied immediately. He wasn't lying exactly. After all, his place always remained either dramatic or challenging in one way or other. He had to have gotten used to it.

Lilian gave him a confused look.

Is he even serious? Or acting like a boyfriend or loving someone is really so easy?

Well, you only asked him for that, remember? Her thought got answered by her mind before Shane could speak up, "You didn't answer me though. Why did you need a boyfriend for a few hours in the first place?"

Lilian knew she asked him for that but she wasn’t really expecting him to agree and now when he was agreeing, she got confused what to do. Do I really want to wreck Simon's wedding? She thought to herself.

Shane raised his eyebrows.

What's with this girl? She was asking first now it looks like I am pushing her for it.

He was irritated, "Woah! It looks like I am pushing you. Anyways never mind. Leave if you want to."

Shane asked for a drink again after Lilian left. While sipping it, he was thinking about how to handle his family this time. His Dad wasn't the matter, he was sure about that. It's his grandma who was doing all this.

What does she see in that girl!

The girl had been clinging to Shane from the first time they met. And she looked like nothing but a gold digger to Shane. No way he was getting her in his family. He wanted peace there and was determined not to get that disturbed.

What to do!

Before Shane got sinking into deep thought, Lilian was already there, "Let's do it."

Lilian would have left if the thought wouldn't have gotten crossing her mind.

On the sudden interruption, Shane got startled. He gave Lilian a scrutinizing gaze only to confirm whether she was sure now.

After giving it a thought, Lilian again spoke up, "Just half an hour or something more time of you will do." only to earn, "What?" from Shane as he rolled his eyes.

He was about to say something but Lilian beat her to it, "We will attend a party together, meet some people and all."

"What type of party?"

Shane had to confirm. Obviously he wasn't going to trust any random girl with this type of thing.

Who knows things might turn out something horrible and tarnish his all-perfect reputation!

No way on earth, he was allowing it.

He would make a proper investigation and then..

His thought got interrupted as Lilian got in between, "A wedding party. My ex-boyfriend is getting married tomorrow."

"And you need to prove to him that you deserve someone better than him?" Shane intended to complete his say but couldn't do it.

"I want to prove him I am strong enough to move on from the things unworthy for longing. Is it something wrong to wish like that?"

Shane got dumbfounded for a moment. He never believed in love and the situation of the girl proved his belief once again.

Love doesn't exist.

"No. But you can just ignore him and lead a better life. This is enough to prove to him you are strong." Shane gave her a proud look like he had given her an easy solution for her life sucking problem.

Lilian knew it was the perfect solution but she had some other reason as well and for that, someone accompanying her was necessary.

Giving it a thought, that he had to know about her acting skill to get the help from her, he shrugged off the solution given by himself, "Anyways. Let's do it. When is the wedding party?"

Lilian felt relieved, that he didn't ask further. "Tomorrow evening."

Shane nodded, "Okay then."

Lilian smiled a little, "I will leave now." She stopped before making her way out as Shane spoke up, "Hey, wait. Venue? Where will we meet tomorrow?"

"Resort The Rock Castle."

"Come again. What was the name you say of the resort?"

"Resort The Rock Castle. The party will be held there. Do you know about the resort?"

Shane didn't get to decide what to say. Obviously he knew. After all, it's their resort and he was staying there now as well. He just nodded at her as he thought what's going on actually?

Paying the bill, Shane made his way out of the bar followed by Lilian.

"Okay, I will be waiting for you at the entrance at 5." Lilian replied shortly.

"Okay. Where do you live? It's pretty late. Should I drop you?" Shane replied when they were out of the bar as he looked around and found the almost desert night.

"No. I will manage. Thank you for helping me out." Shane stopped at his track and turned to Lilian who was already walking ahead.

He walked to his Lamborghini and slid in. He was thinking of offering Lilian a lift again but then a bus got stopped by her and Lilian got on it.

Shane drove towards the resort with a perplexed mind. Should I really do it? That even in my resort? What if..

Cutting of his chain of thoughts, he reached at a conclusion.

Okay, fine. Let's do it.

Entering the resort, before he made his way to his penthouse, he called the manager of the resort.

Shane wasn't known to be a very friendly Boss and his short temper was always accompanying very next to him. So, knowing his nature, within minutes the manager was in front of him, leaving his important work behind.

"Are we hosting a wedding party here tomorrow evening?" was his direct question that confused Mathew, the manager. Shane never questioned what was happening there unless he found a fault with it and he got hell bound to see through it.

Every time Shane visited the resort, he felt like being at on top of nails.

Sensing something, Mathew spoke up making a worried face, "Yes, Sir. Any problem with it?"

"I want details about both of the parties, bride and groom."

But why?

Before the questions slipped out of his throat, Mathew gulped that down immediately to save his job first, "Will be done sir."

Shane added further, "Now."

"I am already on it, Sir." Mathew was ready to run to the wedding planner or the father of the bride or whoever he could think of.

He could just use his phone to call them was long forgotten.

Shane made his way to the elevator to reach his penthouse on the 26th floor, at the top of the resort.

Right then Shane's phone got ringing. Taking out his phone, he looked at the caller ID only to glare at the phone screen...
