34 || Bewildered

Aiden was working on a file when Lilian entered his room late at night. Startling him, she placed a coffee cup on the desk.

Eyeing the coffee, he asked, "Why are you still awake?"

"Not feeling sleepy." Lilian uttered as she settled on the chair across him and sipped her coffee.

"Why? Is anything bothering you?" He asked being concerned.

"Not really." Lilian shrugged off.

Aiden didn't push her much and completed his work in silence, thankfully that didn't take long. Because he was pretty sure Lilian went to talk to him about whatever things.

But he didn't expect her to start going to that direction.

"Do you know Willow likes you?" Lilian asked Aiden when he closed his file and asked her what's the matter actually.

As much as he wanted to ignore the topic, he ended up asking, "Who told you this?" He had a pretty good idea about it though.

"Does it matter?" Lilian shrugged, "You knew it then. Well, what about you?"

"What about me!" Aiden tried to act nonchalant as he sipped his coffee.
