“Okay, so this is where you'll be staying. Go freshen up. The maids will bring you. clothing after you have one of the maids will show you to the. dining room for lunch will be served.”

" Okay," I say with a shy smile, closing the door behind me. This room is very dull looking. I say to myself, looking around. It is painted in Gray and black.

I opened the door to the bathroom, which is also painted in black and gray. Whoever chooses those colors has no taste. I run the tub and stripped getting into the water.

The shower took about 15 minutes, so I quickly changed into the clothes the maid had brought me. Taking a deep breath, I opened the door to a maid waiting for me.

“Follow me,” she says. I followed her nervously.

The dining room is the first room to your left. The lady says once we reach the stairs, "thank you," I say, heading off to the dining room.

As she walked in, I could sense how nervous she was. I watch as she eats her food, such beauty I've never seen before. “aren't you gonna eat your food?” her delicate voice asks

“Oh, yeah, yeah,”

“I'm sorry for taking so long,” she says, cutting me from my thoughts.

" Okay," she says lowly and I can tell she's the type who apologies for everything

“My men saw that you were being attacked, and they saved you, you passed out, they had no idea what to do with you so they brought you here," I say feeling proud. I then notice tears streaming down her beautiful face 

“What is it?” “You say your men saved me, right?” I nod my head.

“Well, if that's so, it means your men are of them a mm monster thing, which means you're also one of them,” she says, her body now shaking.

“Skai, let me explain,” I said getting up, “Stay away from me, I want nothing to do with you” she was now running away. I followed behind her, using my vamp speed as she was about to close the door to her room. 

I stopped her.

 “just let me explain” she doesn't say anything and so I get in and close the door

“don't you think if I was gonna hurt you I would have done it already?” she thinks for a second

“Go ahead,” she says, taking a seat on the bed.

" What you saw last night was a vampire. We've been around for centuries now. We try our best to keep our identity away from humans. What tried to attack you last night was a newly turned vampire who's finding the transition very hard. 

As the king of this region it is my duty to rule over the vampire world and keep the balance between our world and your world, and um we fed on blood, mostly humans but it can come from animals, we can move fast, we have super hearing that's how I could tell your heart skipped a beat, we can do this thing called compulsion it's kinda like"

“Okay I get it, this is a lot to take in and I'm getting really tired and sleepy, we could finish it off tomorrow, that's if you don't feed on me before then, “she says now laying on the bed I placed the sheet on top of her and turned The lights off before leaving the room I whispered

I was woken by the sound of thumbing. I get up and wipe the sleep out of my eyes before freshening up. I froze when I remember everything Mr. Glowing's eyes said. I lay back on the bed, trying to figure out what I should do. He's one of those scary-looking things.

I hear a knock on the door and I open it to see a maid, not the same one from yesterday. She drags me harshly. 

" Where are you taking me to?" She ignores me and drags me harder. She let go of me forcefully.

 " the king wishes to see you. He's up those stairs to the very end of the. right there's a balcony there, he's there

I nod and hurry up. " Who's that maid? " I asked once I reached

" Good morning to you too," he says, and I rolled my eyes, annoyed

"I didn't run away from home to be treated the same way."

"What made you flee your home?"

" Right now, that's beside the point. " I sigh and roll my eyes.

"What's the point?"

"Little Miss 100 Pounds of Makeup didn't have to drag me about like that. 

"Take a look at my arm,"

" he observes it and I could see his jaw clenching and his fist balling

He storms away and I follow after him once he oh he was furious

" Miguel, Miguel! " he yells and comes running into the hall, "Yes my King," she says bowing.

" kneel before me. " he waits for her to do so before speaking again

" What did I instruct you to do?" He asked. You can tell she knew what she did. There was this guilty look on her face.

" y you t told me to go fetch the human and bring her down you ,"

" right, did anywhere in my instruction? Did I tell you to get? touch, my human, much less be dragging her," 

he says, sending a blow to her face

" n n no, I'm sorry my King," she quickly rushes out

" it's her. You need to apologize to not me ,"

" I'm sorry for dragging you like that. " she looks at me and I look away immediately, her eyes black as midnight.

"You've been fired Miguel. Now if you breed a word to anyone about any of this, I kill you and leave your ashes on your family's front pouch, do you understand me? ," he let her go harshly, making her fall to the ground. " leave," he says, and she leaves. He then turns to me.
