Chapter Eight

Ruckus and his father, the alpha king were done with the meeting in the throne room. Now, Ruckus found himself seated right in the chamber of his father.

" I will ask you again, son, " the alpha king said," what pushed you into taking the life of the moon goddess? I believe you know the gravity of what you have just done. "

Ruckus said nothing. There was nothing to say. Should he tell the old man that he had no special reason for taking the action that he took? There was no way that old man would really understand what it felt like to be humiliated in front of the whole pack. An heir apparent to the throne of the kingdom and yet the moon goddess had the effrontery to declare an abused and miserable Omega to be his Luna. This made no sense. This was exactly why he yearned for change.
