Bazaar body was burned from our land and houses were starting to rebuild. Everyone was looking forward to their new life. A life free of being hunted and killed by werewolves knowing Alpha Deucalion and his pack was no harm to us. The day Alpha Deucalion left. I haven't seen him for days, which felt like months. I understand he and his pack were starting a new life free from Bazaar like us. They were building their new home. I missed him. I yearned to see him again. As the new leader of the land, my mom and I moved into Bazaar's large home. While my mom was decorating the house and trying to make it feel like a home should. I was busy with Daniele teaching me to be the new leader. We have gotten close and I see that he was a friendly and understanding person. Daniele was 23, 1 year older than Alpha Deucalion, and 5 years older than me. Just as Alpha Deucalion he acted mature for his age. They both showed great leadership. I tried asking him to take my title as the new leader of the
They carried me to Bazaar. I watched him with bitterness in my heart as he calm down a panicking crowd."Don't worry everyone. We are all safe. The wall will help protect us," he told them."Leader, we've caught the outcast," the guard who held me interrupted him.Bazaar turned around. My face made in anger and my eyes motioned from his face staring at where his left arm was. During the battle between him and Alpha Deucalion, he lost his left arm. He was one-handed.Bazaar walked up to me gravely. His eyes never left me as he did.Silently, the crowd watched him."You are the cause of what is happening now, werewolf witch," he falsely accused me."You know I'm not," I retorted angrily, returning every one of his stares.Bazaar was infuriated by my respond"Cut her throat!" he ordered his men and spun around hastily walking away.I was petrified when I saw the guard reaches for a knife from his side."You may kill me under one condition," I spoke terrified. The guard's knife paused at
The forest was cold after the rain. There were no dry spots to sleep and the night was much darker since we were deep within the forest. None of it bothered the werewolves. Unlike me, they could see clearly in the night and they have furs to keep them warm.I stood beside Alpha Deucalion as he watches his pack rest for the night. The clothes I was still in were wet. My body shivers cold. I leaned against him trying to find warmth in his fur."Follow me," he told.I did, not questioning where he was taking me.We stopped at a large tree away from everyone. Where they could not see us."Take off your clothes," Alpha Deucalion instructed me.I was surprised by his remark. I froze speechlessly."Do as I say," he again instructed me.My head kept away from his. I was afraid to. I felt uncomfortable stripping myself before a man much less a werewolf. I've never done it before.Alpha Deucalion sense I was tense by his remark."You'll become sick if you allow your clothes to be dry on you," h
Alpha Deucalion was filled with wrath when he saw Bazaar. His blood was boiling for revenge. He growled showing his sharp teeth and speedily ran to him."Kill him!" Bazaar ordered his men.His men shifted and stormed after the alpha ready for their kill.I ran for cover inside a building terrified. From a broken window I watched worriedly as alpha Deucalion fought with the six werewolves. They were no match for him. He killed one in less than a minute ripping their heads from their body, and sputtering blood all over the ground. Each time he made a kill, the heavy rain pouring down washed away their blood. As if it was cleaning up after him. It was now down to two werewolves competing against the powerful alpha. My eyes motioned to Bazaar standing in the rain."Kill him you weakling!" he shouted infuriated. Knowing he was losing, badly. None of his men could kill Alpha Deucalion. They were no match for him.Alpha Deucalion growled with rage at Bazaar, killing the last werewolf. I cove
Hastily, I covered his naked, bloody body with the cape. I watched his beautiful face, admiring him as he was unconscious.I looked around knowing it was not safe. If any more werewolves should find us, we would both be dead."Alpha Deucalion," I gently touched his face trying to wake him up.His face was so soft and smooth. The touch of the skin of his face was pleasing to my hand.He wasn't responding. Again I called him, but still, he wasn't. We had to leave.I gently rested his head on the ground. Both hands went under his arms and I began to pull him to the witch's cave. We'd be safe there until he's conscious again, I assumed. He was heavy but I was determined to save his life. I had managed to get him inside. As I did, I return outside and conceal the traces of the path I had pulled him. I hurriedly return inside and locked the door. I searched for any weapon that could protect us until he was awakened. I had managed to find a wolfsbane and a bow with an arrow that seemed to be
Long ago when I was a little girl before the werewolves attacked the village, I once used to call home. My dad used to tell me stories about witches that dwelled not too far from our village in the hoods, where no sounds were made, no wind blew and everything was still there, even the waters. He used to tell me stories about witches with unbelievable abilities that were very strange to us humans. Witches that had the powers to see the future, to heal, to speak to the dead, and possess the soul of us, humans. I used to be scared of these frightening stories, but soon I had gotten to love them. Knowing that there were beings with such unique abilities I didn't know if these stories were really true, these stories were just stories told by my father's parents and then he told me as they told him when he was too young. "Witches, in the hoods from my old village," I told Alpha Deucalion. I thought Alpha Deucalion would be interested in my response but he just walked away. I chased him.
