I woke up to the sound of shouting. It was not the usual calm morning in the mansion. I jumped out of bed and rushed to the window. Several black cars were parked near the main gate. Guards were running with guns in their hands. Something was very wrong.

Lena burst into the room without knocking. Her face was pale. "Miss Scarlett, stay inside. There was an attack on one of Jace's warehouses. They are saying the Rossi family did it. Boss is furious."

My heart pounded. I quickly changed into comfortable clothes and waited. Minutes felt like hours. Finally Marco came to get me.

"Boss wants you in the safe room downstairs," he said. His voice was tight. "Do not leave until he says so."

The safe room was like a small apartment underground. Thick walls. No windows. A couch, television, and small kitchen area. I sat on the couch and tried to stay calm. But my mind was racing. Was Jace okay? Was this because of me?

After almost two hours the door opened. Jace walked in. His shirt had a small tear and there was dust on his pants. He looked angry but relieved when he saw me.

"Are you hurt?" I asked immediately.

Jace shook his head. He sat down heavily beside me. "No. But three of my men are. The Rossi family is getting bolder. They attacked one of my main storage places. Burned everything."

He ran his hand through his hair. I saw real exhaustion on his face. This powerful man who seemed untouchable was under pressure.

"I should not have brought you into this," he said quietly. "But I cannot let you go either. Not anymore."

I looked at him. "Tell me the truth Jace. How bad is it?"

He was silent for a long moment. Then he started talking. He told me about the war that was coming. The Rossi family had made new alliances with other groups. They wanted to take his territory. And they believed taking I would break his focus.

"I have a plan," Jace said. "But it is risky. I need to strike back hard but smart. I cannot show weakness."

I felt a strange mix of fear and concern for him. I had started seeing him as more than just my kidnapper. He was a man carrying heavy burdens.

We stayed in the safe room for most of the day. Jace made phone calls and gave orders. I listened and asked questions when I could. I learned more about his business. The legal companies that hid the illegal ones. The way power worked in this dark world.

Lena brought food for us. She also brought clothes for me.

"The house is secure for now," she whispered. "But everyone is nervous."

As night came Jace finally relaxed a little. He sat on the couch and looked at me. "You are handling this better than I expected. Most people would have broken down by now."

"I am scared," I admitted. "But running away will not help. Not with those people out there."

Jace nodded. He did not touch me. He just stayed close. The silence between us felt different now. Not just tension but something like understanding.

Later that night while we ate simple food Jace told me more about his past. How his father was betrayed by someone he trusted. How he built his empire to make sure no one could ever hurt him again.

"That is why I took you," he said. "You represent everything I lost. Innocence. Kindness. A life without blood."

I felt her chest tighten. I was beginning to understand his obsession. It was not just about wanting my body. It was about wanting to own something pure in his dark life.

The next morning we were allowed to leave the safe room. The mansion was back to high alert but calmer. Jace took me to his office. He showed me maps and plans on his computer. He explained how he was going to respond to the Rossi family.

"You are part of this now," he said. "Whether you like it or not."

I looked at the screens. I saw how big his world really was. And how dangerous.

In the afternoon something unexpected happened. Marco brought news. One of the Rossi men had been caught trying to sneak near the mansion walls. He was now in the basement.

Jace's eyes became cold. "I will deal with him."

I grabbed his arm before he could leave. "Don’t become a monster because of me."

Jace looked at my hand on his arm. Then he looked at her face. "I already am a monster Scar. But for you I will try to be less of one."

He left with Marco. I waited anxiously. When he returned almost two hours later his hands were clean but his face was harder.

"He talked," Jace said simply. "The Rossi family is planning a bigger attack. Soon."

The rest of the day passed in planning and preparation. I helped where I could. I organized papers and listened to discussions. I was no longer just a prisoner. I was slowly becoming part of his team.

That evening as the sun set Jace stood with me in the garden. Guards surrounded the area but they had a small moment of quiet.

"I never wanted this life for you," he said. "But now that you are here I cannot imagine the house without you."

I did not reply. I was still confused about my feelings. Part of me still wanted freedom. Another part was starting to see a future here.

Suddenly alarms started blaring. Red lights flashed. Marco ran toward them.

"Boss! They are at the east gate!"

Gunshots echoed in the distance. Jace pulled me behind him. "Get her to the safe room now!"

Everything happened fast. Guards shouted. More gunshots. Jace pushed me toward Marco as chaos erupted around the mansion.

As Marco pulled me away I looked back. Jace was running toward the fight with a gun in his hand.

"Stay safe," I whispered.

The sound of fighting grew louder. I was taken underground while the mansion turned into a battlefield.

This was no longer just a kidnapping. This was war. And I was right in the middle of it.

The safe room felt smaller than before. I paced back and forth while distant gunshots echoed through the walls. Lena sat in the corner looking pale. Marco stood by the door like a statue, his hand resting on his gun."How long will this last?" I asked.Marco did not answer immediately. "Boss knows what he is doing. He has faced attacks before."Minutes turned into hours. The sounds of fighting slowly faded. My heart never stopped racing. I kept imagining Jace getting hurt. Or worse. Finally the door opened. Jace walked in. His shirt had blood on the sleeve but he moved normally. I ran to him without thinking."Are you okay?" I asked.Jace nodded. He looked tired but victorious. "We pushed them back. Two of their men are dead. One is captured. My people are fine."He sat down heavily. Lena quickly brought water and a first aid kit. I could not sleep well that night. The meeting with the Rossi family kept playing in my head. Those cold eyes. The threats. I finally got up when the first light touched the windows. I walked to the library and tried to read but the words blurred.Lena found me there later. The maid carried a fresh cup of tea. "You look tired Miss Scarlett. The meeting yesterday shook everyone.""Did Jace sleep at all?" I asked.Lena shook her head. "He stayed in the office until four in the morning. Marco told me the Rossi family is spreading rumors in the city. They are saying Jace has gone soft because of a woman."I felt guilty even though none of this was my fault. I was the reason for new problems.Marco appeared at the door. "Boss wants to see you in the garden."Jace was already there when I arrived. The next day the mansion felt different. Tension hung in the air like smoke. I could hear more guards moving outside. Cars arrived early in the morning. I stayed in my room as Jace ordered.Lena brought her lunch and stayed for a few minutes. "The Rossi men are here. Jace looks ready for war. Be very careful today."I paced the room. I hated feeling helpless. Hours passed slowly. Finally the door opened. Marco stood there."Boss wants you downstairs," he said. "Stay quiet and close to him."I followed Marco down the stairs. My heart beat fast. In the large meeting room Jace sat at the head of a long table. Three men sat opposite him. They looked dangerous. Expensive suits but cold eyes. The oldest man smiled when he saw me. "So this is the famous girl. The one you stole."Jace's voice became ice cold. "Her name is Scarlett. She is not part of our business. Speak about the deal or leave."The man laughed. "Everything is business Jace. You took money from us. Now you hide this pretty th

  • Wet For Him   Shadows Approaching

I woke up early. The mansion was quiet. I stood by the window and looked at the tall trees outside. Another day as a prisoner. I wondered if my family had received the letter. Were they still searching or had they started to believe I ran away? Lena brought breakfast. She looked nervous today. She set the tray down and spoke in a low voice. "Miss Scarlett, there is tension in the house. The Rossi family sent a message. They want a meeting with Jace. They are angry about lost money and they mentioned you." I felt fear in my stomach. "What do they want with me?" "They think you are his weakness," Lena replied. "Be careful. These men are dangerous." After breakfast Marco came to take me to the garden again. Jace was not there. Marco stood at a distance while I walked among the flowers. The fresh air helped me think clearly. I remembered my old life. Waking up in my small apartment. Drinking coffee with my mother before work. Helping Emma with homework. Simple things that now felt l

  • Wet For Him   The Waiting Game

I spent the morning in the library again. I tried to read but my mind kept wandering. The letter to my family had been sent yesterday. I wondered if they believed it. I imagined my mother crying while reading the words. My father sitting quietly with worry in his eyes. Emma asking questions no one could answer. The not knowing hurt more than anything. Lena brought breakfast on a tray. The maid looked around carefully before speaking in a low voice. "Your family has been on the news Miss Scarlett. They are still searching. The police came to your apartment." My heart jumped. "Did they say anything else?" Lena shook her head. "Only that you disappeared after work. Be strong. Many girls in this house before you lost themselves completely." Lena left quickly after that. I sat with the food untouched. I felt trapped between two worlds. One I knew and loved. Another that was slowly pulling me in with comfort and fear. Marco appeared at the door. "Boss wants you in the garden." I fol
