Chapter 50: Eliminate her
"Karen!" Cole was unable to catch up with her. His hands reflexively flew up to his head and he shook his head in fear. Someone from the other side had managed to catch her instead. He yanked her towards him and drew her close to his chest.
Cole heaved a sigh of relief. The man seemed so determined because he didn't let her go. Karen looked at him like she was lost from her environment. He had a feeling it was because she hadn't expected the incident.
Cole ran across the streets when he knew the road was free.
"Karen!" He pulled her out of the strange man's grip. He was still holding on to her by now which made him appear fishy to Cole. "Are you okay? What were you thinking? " He received her and hugged her to his chest.
She didnt say anything at first. She moved away from hom and shook her head really fast, "thank you so much for saving me Jacob, I have no idea where you came from but I'm thankful."
