“Jackie, you’ve made bail, you’re free to go.” Jackie nodded at the guard as he opened the jail cell door and let her walk out. “How about we don’t use the bat next time?” he told her and she shrugged. 

“Hey, officer, I don’t take kindly to having someone grab my ass,” Jackie told him as she walked out, she didn’t add though, that her temper was at the shortest it’s been as well. She swallowed hard as she saw the man who was waiting at the desk, his arms crossed.

“You’re a violent woman, Jackie.”

“And yet, Greg, you still want to piss me off, even more so now with my temper on such short fuses.”

“Yeah, about that, Jackie.” He held up open the car door for her and she raised a brow. The last person she wanted to call was Greg to come help her, but Buzz was working, as was Justin, and she just had no one else she could call.
