I fall on my knees feeling weak “no…. no… this is not possible. How can she..?”
“Who brought the baby home?” I asked glancing at Mary.
“This afternoon when I was busy in the kitchen, I heard the doorbell. As I opened the door the baby was left by someone on a pram, along with the note and phone” replied Mary.
