I woke up rubbing my hand on my head. Everything hurts. My body felt heavy like someone had put rocks on my chest.

"Ma'am, you're awake."

I opened my eyes slowly. A nurse was standing next to my bed. But it wasn't Patricia. This was a different woman. She had gray hair and kind eyes.

"Why am I in the hospital?" I asked. My voice sounded weak.
