Some minutes later, Emily and Lucas climb into the truck and are on their way to Lucas's house. They ride in silence as none of them speak a word. Emily stares into space thinking of their conversation.
The sun is setting when they arrive at Lucas's house. Emily stares with her mouth agape, his house is fucking big.
She gets down from the truck staring at the house in awe. " Wow!", She finds herself saying.
Staring at his mansion makes her feel skeptical about staying with him. She sadly pouts as the thought makes her bitter.
A lone tear slips down her cheek which she quickly wipes off.
" Are you okay?", Lucas asks with a frown etch on his face.
Emily shakes her head not replying him.
