Nadia’s POV

“Argh!” I winced at the

dull pain in my head and hand. I opened my eyes, falling them on the IV bag. I

looked at my hand and the IV was stuck into my veins. My eyes darted around,

landing them on Veer.

“You are awake. How do

you feel now?” he asked, smiling.

“What happened to me?” I

queried.

“Nothing serious, you

will be fine,” he assured me.

“You are awake now!” the

groan of a middle-aged woman made me shudder as I turned my eyes to her. She

looked angry. I glanced at Veer. He beckoned to me to calm down. “Do you think

you can escape this? How dare you? How dare you put my daughter in such a

condition?” the woman scolded.

“You have to calm down,

ma’am. It wasn’t  entirely her fault,”

Veer defended, leaving me looking puzzled as I watched the angry woman pour out

on me.

“Whose fault is it then?

She is the reason my daughter is in a coma and you said it’s not her fault? Look
