Chapter 9

It's awake!

But somehow the eyes could not be opened as if someone had closed their eyes. The limbs are not much better, completely unable to move. Clause felt like his body was wasted...

"Thirsty... thirsty." Clause weakly whispered for water, hoping someone here could hear it, but probably no one! The whole room is really quiet now.

"Are you awake yet?"

"Water. I want water."

"Here, drink slowly, no one will argue with you."

A clause was picked up by the strange man, and the water was also brought up to his mouth. He took a sip, his throat was no longer sore and his voice was restored. It weakly reached out its small hands and grabbed the large hands in front of it.

"I... I want to see you."

"Not in a hurry is to wait a few more minutes for the doctor to check."

"What's wrong with my eyes?" Clause trembled and touched his eyes. He didn't want to be completely blind. Not fair!

"Don't cry, it's okay."

"I won't go blind, will I?"

"Yeah, I definitely won't let you not see the light."

Tomson reached out and patted the child's head. That's right, he definitely won't leave any wounds on the child's body. This baby is now his brother, his person, so all good things can only be received.

"Do I know you?"

"Shh, good lie down. Wait until I remove the bandages, then I'll answer, okay?"

"Favor." A clause was silent for a moment and then spoke in compromise, for some reason, when he heard this man's voice, it felt very familiar as if he had seen it before... Not just once, but many times before. . But a bit of memory is completely absent.

"It's going to hurt a little."

Clause felt his body involuntarily touched by something strange, and immediately the pain was transmitted, but to him, this little pain was too light... not as good as before...

"If it hurts, you can scream." Tomson couldn't help but raise his voice. He stood there silently watching and still felt pain in his whole body, but even though his eyes were obscured, he couldn't understand anything, but a little bit of fear did not show any pain.

"It doesn't matter if this little pain doesn't matter."

"Do not say like that."

Tomson heartbrokenly put the person in his lap, and gently wiped the sweat stains on his thin, emaciated cheeks with his hand. He saw that this child was strong on the outside, the act was, very weak inside, every time he drew blood, his body involuntarily trembled. Not to mention that this place can't be stabbed in another place, each time there are bruises on the little arm. Tomson knows the pain, but it doesn't hurt as much as hearing this kid talk.

"Sorry."

"It's okay, I'm sorry, I can't say it casually."

Hearing that, he also nodded obediently, after a while he realized that someone had removed the bandage wrapped around his eyes.

"Eat this, don't open your eyes."

"Candy?"

"Yeah, it's your reward."

Clause flashed a warm ray in his heart. That gesture, that word has not been given to him for a long time. Once received, it made it difficult for Clause to refuse.

"Thanks for saving me, you are..."

The person in front of him returned the light to him, and when he got used to it, he realized how vast and magnificent this place was, so different from the hospitals he had been to. Looking at the man in front of me again, for some reason, I felt sympathy for a stranger in my heart. Maybe for the sake of saving lives?

"Don't you remember me?"

"We have met each other?" Clause vaguely tried to remember if he had met him or not, but couldn't remember clearly the pain in his head was indescribable.

"Do not remember nor force yourself."

"I don't remember, but I realize you're very familiar."

"That is enough."

"Hurry up and eat porridge, you should still eat some liquid when you wake up."

Tomson picked up the bowl of porridge, blew it to cool it down, and then gave the spoonful of porridge to the child. At first, they shyly refused, then obediently ate them all.

"Is it delicious?"

"Oh, it's delicious." Clause bowed his head as if a long time ago no one cared for him so much, and no one would devote himself to feeding him, taking care of his wounds. Because Clause is born as it exists but is parallel to being invisible.

Ever since he was a child, he has been strayed outside, being manipulated like a killing machine. When I grew up a little, I was able to return home, I was trampled and insulted by people, hated and despised by my own family, and my memory was also modified by my father. It was already pitiful to exist.

"Don't cry in the future, I will treat you well."

When Clause heard that, he immediately wiped his tears with his hand. He realized that since returning home, those feelings had also returned at the same time. That year was so thorny, so calloused, half a life was taken away, still facing danger, but this moment, just because of a little warmth, weakly sheds tears.

"Thanks... but I don't want to bother you. They want to hunt down my house. You're harboring me. You'll be implicated."

"No matter what, I'm being chased by people, you and I are similar so don't worry."

Tomson smiled and waved his hand to say it was okay. The person he wants to bring with him will bring, if he still refuses, then blame him for bringing the person tied up.

"I'm so unlucky!"

"It's okay, you're very lucky."

"I'm so stupid, you'll lose face."

"No need, I have enough money for you to study well."

"I don't have anything."

"Never mind I'll give you everything."

Clause clenched his fist tightly and didn't want to involve himself with his benefactor, but this man for some reason still wanted to protect him and turn him into a relative. He was afraid that he would kill the as he did with the Chen family.

"I don't need your pity." It tried to stand up but had to let me continue to slide back on the bed, my hands were shaking and I couldn't feel it.

"I don't pity you, but love you sincerely. No one will look down on you by becoming my family member in the future."

He held out his hand happily waiting for the child's reaction. When he looked into those jet-black eyes, it was as if he saw the whole night sky without any clouds or bright stars. It lost its inherently beautiful light and replaced it with a color of worldly sadness.

A clause in front of him just stared at him and then tilted his head to accept that help, "Can I trust you?"

"May." Tomson nodded, reaching out his hand to brush away the stray strands of hair from the child's face.

"You won't regret it, will you?"

"Never."

"I'm annoying or causing trouble. If there's something..."

"Rest assured, I will solve them with you. The next part of the road is not alone."

Looking at that man smiling, looking at those warm hugs and pats on the head. Clause soon couldn't hold back his tears. Indeed, the man didn't even have the slightest lie in his words. Everything is so real, even wanting to turn it into a family is the same.

"Don't cry! Listen to me."

"Thanks..."

"We're family now, so it's better to be polite to outsiders."

"Favor."

It can trust this man, right?

Can trust him not like they hurt it?

But if you don't believe it or believe it, you will soon be the one who has lost everything!
