Chapter 6: The VIP guests
Zaina’s POVI slowed down my car when I saw more than ten sleek black luxury cars. They were in a row, and all the cars they were meeting went sideward and let those cars move without any stop.Oh?I stopped my car and watched them pass by my car.One car had passed …2 …3 …4 …5 …6 …Then, I saw a red Lykan Hyper sports car. What a cool car. That car had already passed, and then seven more black vehicles followed it.I think their boss owned the red car, and I wonder who it would be. A small grin forms on my lips as I start the engine of my car again and U-turn it to follow them. They are going to Colter Academy now, and I think maybe they are the VIP guests. The gate of the school opened wide, and their cars entered while I remained inside my car.I don’t need to go inside to see who the VIP guest is; something will work for me. I went to the backseat of my car and got my drone. I set it up and went out of my car. After I landed the drone on the floor, I went back inside my car and controlled the drone.Using the camera that was attached to the drone, I can clearly see what is happening inside the campus. I saw 25 men in black and in a three-man wearing two blue and grey tuxedos. While the other one is wearing just a simple black t-shirt and black pants. That is quite strange. I zoomed in on the camera so I could see their faces clearly.I can say some of them have the “looks”, especially the three men wearing a tuxedo, but when the time I saw the man wearing just a simple black t-shirt, the three guys were nothing compared to him. He’s divinely handsome, hot, sexy, and tall but also has an intimidating personality, is stoic, and is a cold guy. He looks screamed power, wealth and danger.I saw the man wearing a grey tuxedo talk to Mrs. white (the headmaster of Colter Academy). The man wearing a grey tuxedo said something that made Mrs White turn her face pale. After she could recover from the shock and fear, she immediately knelt and apologised. The man wearing a black T-shirt said something to both of them. The guy wearing a grey tuxedo steps backwards, and then the guy wearing a black shirt wove forward and talks to Mrs White.Fear can be seen all over Mrs. White's face. This time, she kneeled in front of him. Really? If I were her, I would not kneel in front of him or anyone else. Well, why would I do that? The guy wearing a black shirt signed Mrs. White to stand up, so she did. I saw relief in her eyes. She acts like a scared cat in front of him, but she’s a lion ready to murder me when I meet her for the first time. Oh, someone is scared and afraid like a shit. The guy wearing a black shirt signed the guy wearing a grey tuxedo to come near to him. I think he whispered something to him.I let out a sigh. Why haven’t they entered the main building yet? Whatever. This is worthless anyway, which is why I am so curious about them. I was about to send my drone back to my place when I saw the guy wearing a black t-shirt looking at my drone. Shit, he spotted my drone. And I think they’re finding the controller now. Well, I’m doomed. I can’t return my Drone now because when I do that, they will know who the drone controller is.Think about your plan, Zaina.Plan A: I’ll go where my drone is and destroy the videotape I’m holding now and then so that when they come here in my car, I’ll pretend to be asleep. Well, that plan is absurd.Plan B: I will return my drone here now and drive faster and then get rid of this car. This plan is useless because they will chase after me and eventually kill me. Not a good plan either.Plan C: act cool and do nothing. Well, plan C is easy and requires less effort. I’ll choose the last one. I looked again at the monitor of my laptop, and I saw him still looking at my drone.A guy wearing a grey tuxedo approached him and whispered. While the guy wearing a black t-shirt was listening, he was still looking at the camera attached to the drone as if he was looking at me. GeezThe guy wearing a great tuxedo pulled out a gun and shot my drone. What the! The monitor went black, so I closed my laptop. Even if my drone broke, I still had the videotape on my laptop.I looked in front of my car, and I saw three men walking near my car—men in black and obviously his men.“1 car spotted in the area.” I heard one of them say. While the other one knocks into my car’s window and asks if there’s someone inside my car.“Is there someone here?” He asked coldly and very seriously. Of course, I didn’t say a word. I saw him put his head closer to the mirror, so I immediately closed my eyes.“A Colter student is inside the car, and she’s sleeping. What should we do now?” He asked.A few seconds later.“Got it, sir.” I opened my eyes to see what they would do next. The three of them stepped backwards and pulled out a gun to fire at my car door.Heck! My car quickly roared, and the door opened. This is insane. The three of them were absolutely crazy.I coldly stared at them.“Get out!” The man who shot my car yelled.I quietly got out of my car and stood next to it.“Who are you? Who sent you to spy on us?” I stared blankly at them and still didn’t say a word. The man who asked me was angry and held my arm tightly.“Tell me! Tell me, woman! Who the f *** are you?” He shouted again.“I don’t have words to say,” I said coldly but it’s too damn serious. I’m not amused by what’s happening right now.The man looked at me for a minute and then sent me a death glare.“Just tell us your name and who you are working with. Damn it.” Oh god, this is annoying. Working with? Is he f ****** serious right now? It’s obvious that I’m a student of Colter Academy, and he mentioned that before.Isn’t that also quite obvious what I’m wearing? Like hell, I’m wearing Colter Academy’s Uniform. Not obvious yet? Well, I’m new here, so what do I expect? They will really suspect me.But again, I did not answer his question, so he was about to slap me on my face when someone stopped him.“Don’t f ****** hurt her.” A venomous voice roared in the area. The eyes of the men in front of me widened. Well, who wouldn’t? His voice is quite scary.“I’m sorry, Boss.” He let go of the hand of the man who was about to slap me.He looked at me, and I met his gaze. And our eyes met as I saw his ocean eyes. We stared into each other for a few minutes before he moved his glance into these men.“Search for her things.” He coldly ordered. The men behind him searched my car. After five minutes, they were holding the phone and laptop and, of course, the laptop and phone given by Colter Academy.I leaned in my car as I waited for what they would say. Why is it too long? I’m bored enough of waiting.“What is your name?” I heard him ask me, but I just looked straight and ignored him. I’m quite sure that he knows my name.“Your name?” The question is repeated, but again, I ignore him.“We found nothing she’s the new student here in the Colter Academy and a citizen of Colter Society. Walter white recommended her.” One of his men said.“Her name?” He asked again.Amusedly, I look at him; why does he badly want to know my name, huh?“Zaina Amara Jones, Boss.”“Amara.” I heard him whisper.Amara? No one called me Amara.“I should go now; you all disturb my sleep and are now bringing out my things without my permission. This is f ****** great.” I sarcastically said.Everyone in the place looks at me with disbelief, except him and the guy wearing a grey tuxedo.“Watch out your words.” A grey man (the guy wearing a grey tuxedo) shouted at me angrily.I coldly stare at him and stand straight. No one dared to use that voice on me.“You better watch out your tone too, grey man!” I said back. His face filled with anger, and he seemed to want to strangle me anytime, but suddenly, wearing a black shirt stopped him.“Don’t, she’s right; let her go now. Let’s go,” He said and left.“What?” The grey man left dumbfounded.Chapter 49: His LifeZaina’s POVIn this world, life is like a game of survival. You need to be brave, wise, and strong to survive. The only difference between life and a real game is… once you die, it’s over. You can’t be resurrected. If you’re lucky enough to stay alive, then move forward and continue living in this chaotic and cruel world. It’s been one week since I woke up. Since that day, I haven’t spoken a single word to him. He’s tried to ask me what happened, why I got stabbed, but I didn’t answer; instead, I remained silent. I just wanted to be alone. I wanted him to leave me alone.I need time to myself; my past keeps flashing back in my mind. It’s bothering me and affecting the way I live now. Why can’t I just forget? I wish I could lose all my memories because of that accident. How I wish…I blankly stare at the horizon as the sun sets. I’m on the terrace of the room I’m staying in, thinking about what will happen next to me. I can’t help but wonder, if he hadn’t taken an
Chapter 48: Death GroundZaina’s POVI was slowly losing blood, and I think in a moment I’ll faint. Damn those men, damn this situation. Damn this life. I just wanted a peaceful life, but why can’t I get that? Why? Why is trouble always following me around?I’m tired, very tired. I want to sleep, but I can’t. I can die this way, right? Not this way. A small sigh escapes my lips as I continue to drive the car. My vision is getting blurred, but I’m fighting against it; I need to stay awake until I reach the mansion.A small smile of hope forms on my lips as I see the mansion; I’m almost there. I need to hold on. Before I can reach the gate of the mansion, a wild deer suddenly crosses the road, causing me to change direction and hit the car against a hard tree.Damn. What bad timing. Because of the impact, my head hits something hard, which causes me to fall asleep. I don’t know if I will be able to survive; I’m losing too much blood and now I’ve hit my head hard. But before I lose consc
Chapter 47: KillingZaina’s POVI’ve been walking for how many minutes now, but still, I can’t find my way back to the mansion. I don’t know if I’m lost or if I just don’t really want to go back. Geez. I glanced at the sky when I saw it’s getting dark; it will rain really hard. What a lucky day.I stopped walking when I heard the sound of vehicles. Oh, I see? I’m close to the road now? I looked around to see where it is coming from.I think this would be a great opportunity to escape, but I won’t do that now; I’ll stay. I have something else to do.I walked toward the road, and luckily, when I got there, I saw a black car approaching. I let out a sigh and signaled the car to stop. I had the thought that the person inside it was a bad person, but… it won’t be a problem for me. I can manage it if he or she is really bad.The car slowly stopped. I looked up when the sky started to roar loudly; it was about to rain.“Hey, do you need some help?”Three men got out of the car. Just upon loo
Chapter 46: ExecuteZaina’s POV“Hey.” I greeted her when I saw her coming closer to me. She smiled and greeted back.“You’re staying with us again?” she asked me. I shook my head and answered no, plainly.“Why? I mean, why don’t you want to stay?” I just shrugged and started to move again to somewhere else that I didn’t know.“Too many reasons,” I answered while looking directly at the long hallway.“Like what?” she insisted on asking me. I glanced at her.“Reasons that I can’t tell to anyone else,” I replied meaningfully.“You are really mysterious. Who are you?” This time I smiled mysteriously.“Just a nobody,” I answered and winked at her. She smiled widely and playfully punched my shoulder.“You really don’t want to tell, eh?” she said and then chuckled. I shrugged my shoulder once again and just smiled.“Anyway, since you don’t want to tell it to me, let’s drop that subject.”That’s better.“By the way, where are you going?” “To somewhere else,” I responded.“Hmm? Are you alrigh
Chapter 45: MissionZaina’s POVI silently get off the bed and start to leave the room. I really don’t know what I should feel right now: hatred or regret?Last night, I gave in. I gave myself to him, but not my heart. I just got carried away by lust. Yeah, I felt something for him, but not in the way he felt towards me.He just confessed that he loves me and that he will never leave me? Why do I feel it was just an empty promise? That he will break his promise soon?I was taught not to trust easily, and that’s the reason why I have trust issues right now. I’m hard to please, hard to trust, show no fear, and am not capable of love.“Stand straight, chin up, and put your hands at your back!” An authoritative voice boomed from the area. The young version of me obeyed what the man told us to do. I’m not scared anymore; I learned to accept the life I have.Three years have passed; the weak version of me is gone. This is the new me: a killing machine, trained to kill, showing no mercy. The
Chapter 44: Cold TreatmentZaina’s POVMy body stiffened at what he said. Don’t leave? He can say that easily as if he didn’t send me to the dungeon last night. His guts really hit my nerves. I remained silent and stopped moving.A silence filled the room. No one dared to speak between the two of us. His eyes were closed, but I knew he was awake. I tried to get his arm off my waist, but he just tightened his grip.“I’m sorry,” he suddenly said. I didn’t respond. Tsk. Silence is a bitch; it hurts more than physical revenge. I stared at the ceiling of the room and continued ignoring him.I heard him take a deep breath before letting go of me. He held my jaw and made me face him, and then I met his eyes. There was too much emotion in them: sadness, longing, guilt… and love?“Please talk to me, baby?” he pleaded, but I remained silent, still. I just stared blankly at him. I didn’t know the King they all knew could be so dramatic. Tsk.“I’m sorry for what I said and did last night. I was j
