Chapter 49
The feeling of weightlessness overwhelmed Phil, the biting cold of the dark embraced his bloody body. He lays unconscious in the ever-expanding darkness. But suddenly a bright red glow tore the peace that was brought by the endless dark.
"AHHHGGGG!!"
Phil clutched his left eye which was throbbing in pain.

The beeping of the alarm clock startled me awake. My back was drenched in a cold sweat as I recall the nightmare I just had. But no matter how I concentrated I cannot recall a thing except how I was swallowed by a horrendous creature. '7:00 AM' I sat in my bed and turned off the beeping alarm clock. Slowly calming myself down from the nightmare I just had. I can hear the soft clanging of dishes and the smell of something cooking downstairs. Phil arrived at school at 8:00 AM with dark bags under his eyes and a sickly color on his skin. He did not fall asleep again after he had the horrifying nightmare, terrified that he may be subjected to such a nightmarish experience again. Phil arrived at Seth's office; he knocked on the door and waited for permission to go in. "Come in." Seth's voice called. Phil went in and saw Seth sitting at his desk wearing white gloves and reading a clay tablet, signs of weathering and broken-off pieces were easily noticeable as the piece was clearly archaic. Phil looked around and saw shelves of books pertaining to human psychology and the history of cultures, the room was filled with the smell of dust and musty old books similar to a library.

Phil was still a little pale since his nightmares didn't end, but now he could understand a little what his nightmare seem to mean because of the discussion he had with his teacher Seth. Both of his parents took the day off to be with him and that made him very happy, Phil knows that even though they are very much busy they still love him. Liber Somniorum is an old book that contains the mystery of dreams and how to navigate its plains. It explains how the plains of dreams are divided. First is the 'Shallows', a place where you will find yourself at the beginning of your sleep, the outside can influence your dreams and manipulate them based on your understanding, for example, the sound of water dripping outside can be projected in one's dream. Second is the 'Plain of Desire and Idea', it is the largest part of the plains and the most crowded, this is the place where your normal dreams happen.
