Though her accounts had been frozen, she didn't care much. Her mum had left her some money in a secret account that even her father didn't know about. She had left a letter with their lawyer and told the lawyer to deliver in private to her, and she was not supposed to tell anyone except her sister, Mercy. She could not continue staying with Amanda for long since her sister would be moving in with her soon.
In the few months that she had met George, they spent the most time together and learned a lot from him about life and his life.
George was the only child to Mr. and Mrs. Kiiru and the first son of the county since his father was a governor. She would never have imagined he was the governor's son since he was so down to earth and respected others around him, not a spoilt brat as I would have thought.
So many times, he has tried to ask her to be his girlfriend but still, she could not give him a chance. All those times when she turned him down, she could swear she saw the hurt in his face.
It's not like he could not make her happy, but she was too afraid to fall in too deep and be betrayed later.
Today she was going to look for an internship. She had a few companies she would be dropping her papers to and in the evening when was going out with George Kiiru. However, he didn't like being called Kiiru.
Before 11 am, she had dropped most of the papers at the respective companies. She had one more company to drop her papers and go home to relax. Walking down the pavement o the GR ENTERPRISE, she could only pray that the first call could be from them. The inside of the building was so unique and everyone friendly. This is the kind of lively environment anyone would want to work in all the days before retirement.
She walked to the receptionist and told her she was there to look for Mr. Kibe Ismail about the internship they had talked about over the phone. She was directed to an office ahead of her on the left. She walked confidently, knocked on the door, and waited to be invited in by the one inside.
'Come in" She had a deep male voice inviting her from inside
'Thank you for having me, sir," She said as she stepped inside the office
"Please sit down. It's nice to have you here, Stephanie Jackson' He said as he directed her to sit on the couch in the office.
"Well, pleasure is all mine. Mr. George Kiiru directed me here, saying this could be a better place for me to do my internship.
"Well, George is a nice guy and knows the best when he sees one and would not have recommended you to me if he was not confident with your skills."
'George is the -" before he could finish it, somebody budged in the office without even knocking first.
"Hey, Kibe-"
"George didn't know you were coming over today thought the classes were overwhelming for you. Kibe said as he walked toward his friend and hugged him.
"Just got back from class and thought I should come and see how business is doing.'
'Hello Steph"
"Hello, George. What are you doing here?"
"Well, do you remember I told you I had a company?"
"Yes?"
"Well, it's the GK ENTERPRISE.
"Yes, I knew you loved it here and would like to experience the best."
"I wouldn't have agreed if I knew it. I want to experience life as it is without too much help, George, you know that."
"It's okay. There is nothing wrong with me helping out my friend though you are still rejecting my proposal. I love you, Steph, and I want the best for you."
'Let's not talk about that here."
"Okay. We still have our dinner tonight, but I would like you to come with me to my office and maybe give you a tour of the GR Enterprise."
"Alright. Nice to meet you, Kibe' Steph said, why standing on her feet.
'Pleasure was all mine. George talks about you all the time. You, apart from him being my boss, he is my best friend as well."
"Hope good things, though."
"Of course," Kibe answered.
George led her to his office and opened the door for Stephanie to enter. He closed the door behind and pointed for her to sit on the couch, and then he sat door with her.
"Now, this is my office, and when I am not in class or with you am always here.'
'It's quite a nice place you got here." You really are something, huh, you didn't tell me everything I had to know. I should be angry and throwing a tantrum, but I am surprised and still come and not angry, just a bit disappointed, though.
'Am sorry I didn't tell. I knew you would disagree. You are so proud, but I want you to be okay. Somewhere I can see you every day and know you are really fine. Steph, you know that I care about you so much that you are always on my mind. Life without you is becoming hard for me. I wish you could just give me a chance to be there for you. To love and cherish you. Please say yes to me. Be my girlfriend.'
“I can’t buy that, he has to live. He has to live” She stood holding her husband struggling carrying him to the nearest car. John saw her determination and did not stop her. He ran to open the door for her. He then went to the driver’s seat. He drove out of the compound. The gate was open from the moment the men attacked them.Steph was covered in blood. She held dearly to her husband calling on to his name over and over“Please sweetheart. Don’t do this to me. You know I can’t live without you. I need you. Our son needs you.” She kept on talking to him over and over. The police cars passed them heading to the direction they were just coming from. Steph did not even notice it. John didn’t need to ask. He knew they were heading at the sceneIn ten minutes, he pulled at the hospital. He helped Steph get George out of the car. Steph kept on calling to George. John shouted for the nurse“Help. Doctor, doctor, help” Two nursed came out of the hall with stretchers and took George from them
Leo looked at her understanding her thirst for fights. He had tried so many times before to curb her formed behavior but he could not. He could only join in the fun to make it enjoyable for her and to make sure she was safe“Its indeed great but you have to consider your safety. I can’t be a widower.” Leo replied to her peeping at the people fighting on the other end. Their vehicle was hit severally. Mercy held her two gun in anticipation for what to come next. From George’s side, he could see three men shooting“Three of them. 5 meters from here. Take the one on the right I will take the two from the left.” Leo said to him wife pointing behind the care“Sure baby.” Mercy said standing almost immediately pointing her gun towards the direction her husband gave her shouting. She walked taking steps a head shouting and shooting nonstop. She was like a mania. Her smile was evil, her laughter were crazy. Leo shook his head and shot towards the men on the left.Mercy didn’t give him the pri
John walked her to the alter and handed her over to Leo before giving him few words. He pecked Mercy on her forehead and backed away two steps and sat down. She hugged him and stood before priest “We are gathered here today to witness the union of …….” It went on for a while before it finally came to “you may now kiss the bride...” they kissed. Everyone stood on their feet and applauded The Bride and the groom walked dancing out of the venue. The crowd followed right behind them celebrating. Just as they were about to reach for their car to go for photo-shoot, they were gun shots in air. Few people came right in to the compound and started shooting in air. Everybody fell down on the ground. It became really chaotic. No one understood what was going on. Steph for once got panicked. She didn’t see that coming. The security outside the gate were her best men from the organization. How did they enter the premises, she laid down and tried to reach for her gun. “Hey, hey young lady. No
George was stunned. She was so confident to walk naked right in front of him going to the bathroom. He had an evil smirk on his lips. He stood to remove his shorts and shirt before creeping in on her. She was standing right under the running water when he entered the bathroom. Steph turned around and rolled her eyes at him. "What are you doing here?" she asked, turning again to face the wall. "Why can't I be here? I want to shower as well." He said, turning her around. He then went ahead and kissed her. She did not resist him. She kissed him back. Though she was sore, she ached for him again. She was scared of her own thoughts. She didn't know what tomorrow would hold for them, but she wanted what he offered her at that moment. She knew he loved her to the core, and she was the same. He bent her over to the wall and entered her from behind. He wanted to be one with her. He was immersed in their pleasure. Since it was still early in the morning, they went back to sleep. They were ti
George caught up to her She leaned on the car and tears could be seen threatening to fall. He knew he will have her back to normal. That’s was the first sign that she will overcome her trauma. “Your parents are involved.” She said at the end. He didn’t know what to say. Was she crying because she was healing or because she was sorry for me? George thought to himself as he approached her closely. They were so close that their bodies touched. “Don’t worry. I will not let you down. I will settle this for you.” George wiped few drops of tears that had started to flow down her cheek. “I don’t want to put you in a difficult situation.” She said as she detached herself from him. She walked and entered to the driver’s seat and closed the door. George went round trying to get to the passenger seat but she did not give him the satisfaction. She stepped on the brakes and sped off. George tried to call her but she did not hear him He threw his hands in air in anger. He was upset The men who
She did not waste a minute and hit his left knee hard. He didn’t hold back his voice and screamed in pain. Steph did not even shift her eyes. She was calm as if it was normal for her to do it. She was indifferent George like her courage but he was scared for her. She was hurting so much. There was nothing he could do to help except his unwavering support. “Aaaaaahah. Lease kill me” Mr. Smith said. He was pained all over the body. With few hits on both his knees, scream could be heard echoing in the whole room. The one on the holding cell were shaking in fear “What should we do?” two of the men in the holding cell could not help but shudder in fear. They were working with Mr. Smith before they were kidnapped. They were the one who organized for the driver and the whole accident under Mr. Smith instruction. “We will tell the truth and everyone involved with the Jackson family. I don’t to be dragged down on their fights anymore. I want out of this business. I have never seen such ru
