The Murder of Thalia Gibson

Thalia walked up and down the hotel, carrying her suitcase, waiting for Sherly's men to pick her up.

Soon after, the hotel room doorbell rang.

Thalia flinched and moved her gaze to the door. She approached the door with trepidation. She was afraid it was Aleandro's messenger. She saw a man in a black jacket standing alone outside her hotel room door through a small hole in the door.

The man's face was only visible because his large jacket hoodie covered it.

Thalia gulped nervously. She didn't immediately open the door and asked behind it, "Who’s there?"

"Miss Sherly asked me to pick you up," the man said, his voice hoarse and uninterested.

Thalia rubbed her face, exhaling a sigh of relief. Unknowingly, she broke out in a cold sweat. She opened her bedroom door with relief and asked enthusiastically, "You've come, can we go now?"

The longer Thalia stayed, the more terrified she became when she thought about when Aleandro Gilren would come to get her.
