After lunch, Adrian asked Lillian how her meeting with the board went, gently swirling his glass of wine.

"How was your meeting today?" Adrian inquired, his voice filled with genuine interest.

Lillian took a sip of her own wine before responding, "It went well. Mark and some executives will be holding a press release later this week to announce the managing director, which is Mark."

Adrian nodded, pleased with the positive outcome. "That's good. I'll have Mr. Ivan take over in my absence.

The company is used to it anyway," he remarked, referring to his trusted employee who often stepped in to handle affairsin his absence.

Lillian listened attentively, her curiosity piqued. "Joe insisted on going with you to New York," she stated, recalling their earlier conversation.

Adrian smiled, his eyes twinkling. "Yes, he's always been eager to explore new opportunities. When do we leave for New York?" Lillian asked.
