LOGINRafael's Point of ViewThe moment we get close to the kitchen, a familiar scent hits me.My entire body goes rigid.No.Not now.My stomach drops as I recognize it.I hadn't even considered that Andrea might run into her.I glance at Andrea. She's frowning, her nose wrinkling slightly as she tries to place the scent.I can feel myself starting to sweat. She notices my reaction almost immediately. Her eyes move to me."What's wrong?"I force a smile."It's nothing really..."I barely get the words out before the kitchen door opens. And there she is.Addison.My heart starts pounding.I watch as Andrea's entire body freezes.I don't need to ask if she remembers.I can see it in her face. The recognition. The pain. The memories.Lisa glances at me before looking at Andrea with a sneer."Watch where you're going."Then she pushes past Andrea and walks away.I barely breathe.I wait for Andrea to turn toward me.Slowly, she does. And the look in her eyes nearly destroys me.She's hurt. Not
Andrea's Point of View I turn my head away from the television and hide my face against Rafael's chest. I really hate this movie. It makes me feel uneasy, and every time something happens on the screen, I feel myself tense against him. I lift my head slightly and glare at Rafael. Of course, he notices and a smirk spreads across his face. "It's just a movie, Andrea." Hs says and I narrow my eyes at him. "I know. A movie that I hate. Do I really have to watch it?" I ask. His smile fades slightly as he looks down at me. "If it really bothers you that much, we can leave and do something else." He says seriously. I glance around the room. Caroline is fast asleep against Rick, and Melissa is curled up against Matt. I smile. Well, I guess that's one way to avoid watching the rest of this stupid movie. I look back at Rafael. "You can stay and finish it with them if you want, but I really don't want to watch anymore. This whole movie is making me uncomfortable."
Andrea's Point of View About an hour later, we're finally heading back inside. Rafael and Rick are carrying the children who fell asleep, while Melissa and I each carry one of her girls. I look down at the sleeping Maggie in my arms and smile. "She's so beautiful. Look at those big eyes and all those curls." Melissa smiles down at her daughter. "She is. But don't let that innocent little face fool you. She's a complete menace." Shes says and I laugh softly. "Really?" I ask and Melissa nods her head. "Absolutely. I honestly have no idea where she gets it from." She says with a grin and we both burst out laughing. "Sure you don't." I tease, and she rolls her eyes. "Definitely not from me." We continue walking inside. "Where are we taking them?" I ask. Melissa gestures towards the stairs. "I think they're going to be asleep for a while, so let's put them in their beds." She says. I nod my head and follow her upstairs. Once we reach the girls' room,
Andrea's Point of ViewAs we reach the receiving room, I immediately notice that a few more people have arrived. My stomach twists slightly.I recognize Lizzy, but standing beside her is a woman I haven't seen in years. She's holding a little boy on her hip, and both of them are looking at us curiously. The woman smiles when she sees me and walks over."Hi, Andrea."She gives me a warm smile."I'm not sure if you remember me. I'm Caroline. I'm Rick's mate."She holds out her hand.I smile and shake it."Hi. Yes, I remember you."I glance at the little boy in her arms."It's nice to see you again.""You too."Her smile widens."I'm really glad you're here."She looks down at the little boy."Jackson, can you say hi to Aunt Andrea?"The little boy gives me a shy little wave."Hi."I smile at him."Hi, Jackson. It's nice to meet you."Caroline turns toward Haley, who's still sitting comfortably on Rafael's hip."And you must be Haley."Her expression immediately softens."I have someone
Andrea's Point of ViewAs we reach the packhouse, I feel my heart start racing when I see all the people waiting on the grass outside.I thought I'd have some time before having to face everyone.Apparently, I was wrong.I swallow nervously, and Rafael glances at me before giving me an apologetic smile."Sorry. I asked them to give us some time, but clearly they didn't listen."I give him a small smile."It's okay. They're excited to meet Haley.""They're excited to see you too."I arch an eyebrow."Really? Even your father?"Rafael's expression tightens slightly."Don't worry about him. Mom will put him in his place."I nervously wring my hands together."I don't want to cause any problems between you."Rafael turns toward me as he switches off the car."You won't."He reaches over and takes my hand."I want you here. He'll just have to get used to it."Before I can answer, Haley suddenly frowns while staring out the window."Why are all those people just standing there?"I smile at
Hi guys! Firstly, I just want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been supporting my book. It honestly means more to me than you know. Thank you for taking a chance on my writing, for reading Andrea and Rafael’s story, and for being here with me on this journey. 🙏💛 I’ve recently gone back through the story and made a few changes. I’ve moved a couple of chapters around and changed a few things to help the pacing and make the story flow better. I know changes like these can sometimes feel a little unexpected, but I truly believe they will make Andrea and Rafael’s story even better as it unfolds. ❤️ I really hope you’re still enjoying the book, and I hope you’ll continue this journey with me as we discover what the future has in store for Andrea and Rafael. There is still so much more to come… and trust me, their story is far from over. 😉 Thank you again for every read, vote, comment, message, and bit of support. You have no idea how much it means to me.
