CHAPTER 35: EVENTUALLY

Living with Ainar for the past days, for a little over a week now, feels like a dream. Gavin won’t lie, opening his eyes and having the alpha’s peaceful face as his first view every morning is not just a dream, it’s /the/ dream. It felt like the world outside the cabin does not exist, living only in their own bubble. The days are filled with just lazing around, maybe some tears here and there because nightmare is a bitch, and more scenting. At this point, Gavin won’t be surprised if someone came up to him and mistake him for an alpha, never mind his features and built, just because he smells so strongly of Ainar now.

But of course, as much as Gavin wants this to continue, to stay in their bubble forever, there’s a world waiting for them outside. There are responsibilities waiting to be fulfilled, especially by Ainar. That’s how Gavin found himself in this situation, playing a game of tag with Ainar who doesn’t want to leave.
