Chapter 48: The Past.

Alyia's Point of View.

"What?" Flame asked and turned his back at me.

"Flame, you just said something that bothered me. What do you mean you were there when my parents died?" I asked and let go all of the things I have in my hand to focus on what Flame is about to say.

"You must misheard, Alyia. I said that you told me that you witnessed how your parents died. Not that I witnessed your parents' death. It was you who witnessed it, right? I think you're just hungry. I'll cook." He said before he disappeared from my sight.

I was left here, confused. I don't know what to think but all I know was I heard him say those words. Those exact words.

I really hate how life works. You can't replay some things that you want to make sure of.

Well, that's life.

You don't know what's about to happen before it happens. It just happens.

"I'm thinking deeply again. Damn." I said to myself and shook my head to try to brush off all of the thoughts inside my mind.
