A ray of light falling on Jason's face made it impossible for him to continue enjoying his sleep. Squinting his face, he turned, but he felt something behind him preventing him from lying on his back. He turned the other way to allow him to see what was behind him and was surprised to see a half-naked woman sleeping in his bed. He quickly got out of bed and realized he was not wearing any clothes. "What a rude man," Julia thought as she continued walking down the street towards her home. She walked down the pavement and entered the porch of a house built with wood and painted white. She looked inside the house from the window, trying to sneak in. "Julia, come inside," came her mother's voice, "I know you are standing there. Julia squeezed her eyes and pursed her lips. She opened the front door, which was not locked, and entered the house. "Good morning, ma'am," Julia said with her hands behind her back. Her mother was sitting on the sofa reading a book with her eyeglasses on. She didn't lift her head to look at Julia standing almost behind her. "Where are you coming from?" Julia's mother asked, her eyes still fixated on the book she was reading. "Er...ma'am, I... I," Julia stammered, scratching the back of her neck. "Leave grandpa to me," Jason said, and James left the hospital with their mother while Jason stayed behind and did the paperwork. James sat behind the wheel and drove out of the hospital compound with their mother, Mrs Haward, who would not stop crying about her dead husband, sitting next to him in the co-driver's seat. James just felt she needed to cry out as she appeared inconsolable. James remained silent with his eyes on the road as he drove back to the family condo. Julia stood on the porch worried and not sure what to do. She was going to leave her home, and her mother to live under the same roof with a man whose family humiliated her. She had been taken away while in town twice already and none of the people passing by came to her rescue. It was like they were blind to the whole scene of her abduction. Her screams attracted no rescue from anyone. She recalled what Jason and his guards had all said to her; Scream, like someone would come. It did stop Julia from crying, but her eyes remained open as she stared straight ahead at nothing till the morning.
