Other people left except for Blake, who remained inside the house given to William. Only now did the latter observe that the timber house was well constructed and that it appeared to be vintage, especially with the fire-lit lamps. It's like he's just time traveling to ancient times.

William entered the house and sat in the living room chair. He returned his gaze to the photo of the two of them on top of the coffee table.

“They're completely right,” Blake said, looking at William.

Blake was perplexed as to why William was staring at him and not responding to his words, so he raised his eyebrows in confusion.

“I believe that was the first time you addressed me by my given name,” William marveled.

He felt uneasy and ashamed when he realized how he had reacted, so he avoided looking at Blake. He swallowed many more times, and his chest thumped—so fast.

“What did I do?” he wondered to himself.

“No, this isn't the first time,” Blake said.

William was aware of this, but he did not respond. He
