THERESA

On Thursday, I showed up for the last training session with the ladies of Severnaya Zvezda Pack. They all gave me a warm greeting, making me feel right at home in their pack. After some warmups, I started them out on sparring, so I could at least teach them some good fighting techniques before I left. I was pleasantly surprised. These Ukrainian ladies could fight! I supposed that’s how this group had made it out of the war.

After spending the entire morning and afternoon with them, they convinced me to join them for drinks that evening. The ten of us headed to the pack’s pub together, where we grabbed a large table and settled in. Despite my insistence on paying, they wouldn’t hear of it. I knew they were living off modest contributions from my pack, yet they pooled their money together and made sure I didn’t spend a single cent.

Toward the end, Mariya, who had the biggest personality of the group, pulled me aside. “Alpha smiles again,” she said in her heavy Russian accent.

  • Wolfbitten   Chapter 118

JULIA*21 years ago*The house was quiet, save for the faint crackling of the fireplace and the rhythmic ticking of the grandfather clock in the hall. It was a rare moment of peace. Tyson and Travis were finally asleep, their endless energy and constant screaming temporarily halted.I ran a hand over my swollen belly, feeling the delicate flutter of movement beneath my palm. A soft, wistful smile touched my lips before fading just as quickly. After giving Lance both an alpha heir and a backup, this child—this last one—was for me.Alfochka.That’s what I’d taken to calling her. My little female alpha.Even now, I could feel it in my bones. She would have the heart of an alpha, the drive, the fire, in a way her brothers never would. As much as I loved my sons, loved them to the point that I would lay down my life without hesitation, both Lance and I knew neither of them would ever truly take to alpha training. They were too gentle, too soft-hearted. Sweet, sensitive boys. Had I not conc

  • Wolfbitten   Chapter 117

THERESAKolya kissed his way down, slowly and torturously, until he reached the waistband of my sweatpants. The fabric felt too thick, too suffocating, too concealing. I let out a soft whimper as he hooked his fingers into the fabric and dragged the pants down my legs. When he returned, hovering just over me, my hands found his torso, and I slid them down the ridges of his well-sculpted abs, down to his hard stomach, until I found the waistband of his boxer briefs. I hesitated for a moment, but only for a moment. Soon I was removing them, exposing him to me, how massive and hard he was.I couldn’t help but wrap my palms around him and stroke his length in slow methodical movements. A guttural sound reverberated from Kolya’s chest. That sound only made me more greedy, more wanton. And before I knew it, my legs were falling open in invitation.I wanted him.I wanted him so much it was painful.I wanted proof that he had returned, and that pushing me away had been a huge mistake.“Koshec

  • Wolfbitten   Chapter 116

THERESAI wasn’t sure what time it was, but at some point during the night, I woke to find Kolya lying next to me on his back, his night vision softly illuminating the ceiling above us in an eerie glow.Something about the sight of him, so steady and strong even in rest, cracked something deep inside me. A sob tore from my throat before I could stop it. My breath hitched as tears welled up and spilled over.Kolya turned his head, his silver eyes immediately locking onto mine. “Teren'ka.” His voice was low, concerned, and without hesitation, he reached for me, pulling me into his arms. The way he said my name sounded familiar, and I recalled that my mom had called me the same way when I had been very young, during a time when she had been a bit more loving, more affectionate.I melted into him, pressing my face into his chest, indulging in the warmth and quiet strength of him, the steady thrum of his heartbeat against my cheek. For the first time since everything had happened, I felt s

THERESAThe SUV rumbled beneath us as we sped away from Alpine Snow Pack. The tension in the car was still thick, even though we’d escaped. None of us were naïve enough to believe we were in the clear yet.I stared out the window, my thoughts a tangled mess of exhaustion, grief, and the strange, magnetic pull I could feel radiating from beside me.Nikolai.He hadn’t let go of my hand since he first reached for it. His grip was firm, grounding, but not demanding. Like he was silently telling me: I’m here. I’ve got you. You’re safe now.Cutting through the conversations and murmurs, Tyce announced, “Alright, we’re stopping at the hotel and we’ll regroup there while Liam figures out when we can head home.”Once we parked, everyone scrambled out of the car while Tyce went inside to arrange our stay. Liam was busy on his phone, presumably checking the weather and figuring out the flight schedule for the next day. The others began unloading the bags from the trunk.“So what do we do with mo

  • Wolfbitten   Chapter 114

THERESAI stole a glance at Gigi.Somehow, somehow, she managed to dodge, to claw back, to keep moving. Somehow she managed to stay in the game. And Tyce… Tyce was surrounded. His growls were labored, desperate. Blood dripped from his muzzle, painting the white snow red. He fought like all heck, but there were too many. His body was buckling. His attacks were slowing, weakening. His gaze kept flicking to Gigi with worry in every line of his expression.I barely had time to react from each attack before another wolf launched at me. I threw myself forward, dodging, twisting. My claws sliced into exposed flesh, hot blood spilling over my paws, staining the snow. My enemy yelped, but I couldn’t stop. Another attack was already incoming. There were too many of them.Tyce howled.A warrior ripped into his side. The sound that tore from his throat sent ice through my veins. His blood streaked the sky, splattering onto the snow like spilled ink. It painted the ground beneath him a dark and ho

THERESATyce stood near the gate, key in hand, scowling down at Joe, who still reeked. His lip curled in disgust. “Absolutely not,” he said flatly. “No.”He shook his head, taking a deliberate step back, as if mere proximity to Joe might infect him. His nose scrunched. “We are not bringing him. He can walk himself out.”Gigi let out a tired huff, slumping against the bars. Even lifting her head looked like an effort. She had nothing left.I sighed, glancing at Joe’s limp form. Blood pooled beneath his head.“Joe looks concussed,” I mindlinked. “He’s not walking anywhere.”Tyce let out a heavy, suffering sigh.I stared at Joe, trying to summon even a single emotion that might make me feel bad for him. But all I felt was exhaustion. He wasn’t a threat anymore. He was just… pathetic.Leaving him would be easy. But it didn’t feel right.“When I made him roll in that shit,” he grumbled, glaring at Joe like this was all his fault, “I did not think I’d have to carry him out of here.” He flun
