JASMINE

"Can I hold her?" I turned toward Talia who had just sat down on the couch next to me.

"Of course." Talia smiled and gently placed her baby in my arms.

"She's so beautiful." I sniffed back tears, cradling little Bianca in my arms, staring down at her rosy cheeks, fuzz of brown hair, and bright blue eyes. Lately, everything made me want to cry. "Her eyes are so beautiful," I said as I thought to myself, our babies could have the same ones.

"I know. I hope they stay that color," Talia replied. "She's only a few days old so the doctor said they could still change color."

"How is she so far?"

"She's perfect." Talia's eyes sparkled in a way that I imagined only a mother's eyes could, making me tear up all over again. "Much better than Libby." Talia chuckled. "That baby was Satan in a onesie."

I laughed in agreement. "She's definitely a handful. I didn't realize how bad she was until I started living in the packhouse. She's gotten better in the past few months though." I rock

Logically, that doesn't make sense to me. What if a werewolf shifts before she knows she's pregnant? It seems that could happen quite a lot.

hmm I thought pregnant wolves can't or shouldn't shift because it could harm the pup???
