Part 2, Chapter 7- Torin Cote

It was finally the end of the day and I was locking up the goats with mom. When everything was done, we went to the trucks and I got in with mom. She yelled out her window at dad as he got in his truck that we would see him at home.

I got my phone out of my pocket and looked at my texts that I had missed while working. I had been talking with Torin all day about random things. I learned that he was from Morse, Saskatchewan, and that there wasn't a pack there. Instead, there were individual families that lived among the humans. They lived like we used to but they made sure they had property to let their wolves out on so they weren't suspected of being anything supernatural by neighbors.

I learned that his favorite color was blue, he loved fruit and he was twenty-nine. He was three years older than me. I wonder what took us so long to find one another. At least we did find one another. I never wanted to have to choose a mate. I always dreamed of finding him.
