[Preparations]

The feeling of bewilderment lingered in my stomach as I watched the wolf and her friends disappear. At first, I debated pursuing them, as it would have led me directly to their pack. That should have pleased my father, right? It ought to. Unless I pursued them and they caught me spying, which would not have been pleasant.

My father always told me that a well-thought-out plan was the key to survival. And that was the truth. There was no telling what sort of torture I would have endured had I followed my instincts and gotten caught. So, what should I do? Instead of following them, the safest and best course of action was to go home and inform my father of what had happened. From there, we could plan to eliminate the wolves.
