Wonderings: Rekindled Friendship

When the girls left, Terrence and I were in the car, waiting for Amelia to show up. The sun was setting but there was still no sign of her. I leaned back on the car seat and sighed. I wonder if I'm the reason she doesn't want to show herself. I keep thinking that maybe it's all my fault. Terrence must've noticed my silence. 

"Do you think that we'll get to see her tonight?" He asked me. I looked at him but his eyes were on the house in front of us. I looked out the window before I answered. 

"Whether it's tonight or tomorrow night or the night after that, I don't care how long I have to sit here and wait for her. I'll wait for her." I answered. Terrence looked at me and he started chuckling.

"Why are you laughing?" I asked. 

"You're so cheesy sometimes." he answered. I punched his arm as he said that. 

"Shut up!" I yelled. He stopped laughing but he still had a smile on his face.
