Wonderings: Friends Again

Kael and I spent our time talking and reminiscing about our past. It's been so long that I completely forgot how much fun I used to have spending time with Kael. Our families were always close and Kael and I were the only kids in the family around the same age. We would often play games together and spend time while our families were busy doing business. I wonder what happened for us to fall apart. 

"Hey Kael." I called out to him. He looked at me with a blank expression on his face. He waited for what I was about to say. 

"What ever happened between us? Why did we stop becoming friends?" I asked. He was suddenly taken aback by my question. I guess he wasn't expecting me to ask such deep questions. Kael was the type of guy to never show his true emotions because he thinks he's vulnerable. 

"It's because you became lame and I don't hang out with people who are rats." He answered. I couldn't help but chuckle at his response. He started laughing along w
