Rescuing Annie

Jordan's POV

I am surprised to see Annie leaving the store that we are in with Jenny. I am thankful that Jenny didn't notice, just in case Annie is not a favorable person. Following her is easy. The issue I had was when I caught up to her she was talking to a man who I thought had passed already.

I hang back and listen in on their conversation. As it turns out, her dad was one of two identical twins. The reason the other mafia in our area hasn't been active, wasn't because of us winning. No. It was because they were laying low. I need to know what the secret is.

I stay far back, until I see Annie leaving. When the old man goes to leave the hallway, I toss a small camera, one that's almost like a small bug, and I can move it too. I get it to a place that seems safe, then keep on going down the hallway until I see her again.

By the time I catch up to her, Annie is looking at her phone. She sends a message to someone, then I feel my pocket vibrate. I stay just out of her sight and look
