She stepped into his office and dropped the files he requested for on the table, she didn't look at him one more time before proceeding to leave the office.
Roshan wondered what was wrong with his woman.
"Ben..." He shortened her name and that was rare, the calling of her name made her alter her retreating steps. She turned to look at him and the expression on her face screamed bleak. "What's wrong?" He instantly stood up to join her where she was standing like she'll break into two anytime soon. "Are you okay?" He cupped her face in his hands.She nodded her head negatively, she wasn't okay at all. Ever since his parents refused to acknowledge her, she's not been fine.

Walking into his living room, she loved the aroma she was perceiving. It had to do with something delicious, she presumed."He yo." Esther coursed to the living room with a soup spoon in her hand, she stood in front of David and lunged the spoon towards him."Here, have a taste." She said to him, he was confused at first. "Here." She stretched it further. "Just taste it and tell me what's it like." She whined like a child."I have to rinse my hands before touching that spoon." Ben stood in front of the mirror in her room and checked herself out, she had lost some weight and she wasn't really satisfied with who was staring back at her in the mirror but there was nothing to be done about that.She heard a knock at the door and walked to the living room to attend to whoever was knocking, she got there and shouted. "Who's at the door please?" If it were before she'd have opened the door slightly to check who was knocking but ever since Daniel became a constant pest in her life, she's been more careful."Open up Ben." The person said and she immediately recognized the voice, the one she was avoiding. She turned back and wanted to ignore him but he already heard her voice."Daniel, you can't come in here." She said valiantly. "I'm busy right now and I don't need disturbances." She told him with all gladness that she wasn't careless not to have locked her door."Open up Ben." He begged

Ben and Roshan were seeing a movie on Netflix when her phone suddenly beeped. She picked it up and didn't utter a word till the call ended, Roshan noticed the scowl on her face when she dropped the phone on the sofa."Hey, what's wrong?" He asked her."I'm good Rosh." She smiled at him. "It was a call from my dad, he was actually scolding me." She said."Why?""I ignored them for a while."
