Fuck You, Captain.

Japheth

“What do you mean you found a better candidate? You already gave me this mission!” I yelled out in sheer frustration but the captain didn't budge one bit.

“Hand over the damn files, Jared. You know better than to give me a headache this fine morning.” He replied, stretching out his hand toward me and I ran my hand through my hair, finally understanding that the universe wasn't my best friend.

I took out the documents from my bag and threw them on the table instead of handing them to him, and the way the veins in his forehead bulged, I knew he wasn't impressed. But I didn't care anymore. He can go fuck himself.

He turned away from me with a dismissive wave, and I turned around, ready to walk away, but for reasons unknown to me, my legs wouldn't move. Was I disappointed? Angry? Frustrated?

Hell yeah.

Why do they all love to treat me like shit? Was I such a pushover? Someone they could use whenever they pleased and discard like a useless piece of shit?

I've had enough.

With that thought, I turned toward the captain, and his eyes met mine, his expression questioning why I hadn't left his office yet. Without thinking, I said something I wouldn't have dared to say in my entire life.

“Fuck you, captain.” I spat in anger and his eyes widened in shock, like he wasn't expecting those words from me. Then his expression immediately contorted into anger and he shot up from his seat like it was burning his butt.

“How dare you—”

His words were cut short when an officer barged into the office like he was being chased and I immediately got into a defensive position, looking out for any attacker. But to my surprise, there was none.

“I can't do it!” He yelled as he barged into the office and I straightened up, my brows raised in confusion and amusement.

“What do you mean you can't do it? You're the only person who can do this perfectly!” Captain retorted, his face red with anger as he slammed his palm on the table, and the officer shook his head in terror.

“You can fire me, Captain! But there's no way I'm going after the son of Don Martinez!” He yelled and it finally dawned on me that this was the candidate who was “supposedly” perfect for this job.

“What's so bad about his son?” I chirped in before the captain could speak and the officer turned to look at me like I had two horns on my head.

“Everyone knows how ruthless the Martinez’ are. They have no mercy on people and they kill like it's a normal daily activity!” He blurted before turning to look at the captain. “I only agreed to take this mission because I thought the suspect was a mediocre person. Not Aaron Martinez!” He yelled with pure horror written all over his face.

I stood by the side with a small smile on my face, watching the whole drama unfold like a high school play. Perfect candidate, my ass. Such a scaredy cat wasn't even fit to be a police officer.

Before the captain could try to counter his words, he dropped his badge on the desk, and without hesitation, he ran out of the office the same way he came in. Silence reigned for a moment and my lips curved into a small smile as I clutched my bag tightly.

“I'll take my leave now, captain,” I muttered and turned around but just as I expected, he called out to me, causing me to halt in my tracks.

“Jared, I was wrong. You are the only person worthy and perfect enough to take on this mission. How could I be so blind?” He muttered, his voice suddenly calm and smooth as silk, causing me to nearly let out a scoff of amusement.

“Oh no, captain,” I replied, turning to look at him with a solemn look on my face. “I already left the documents with you and you already have a perfect candidate for the job. What could a mere constable like me do?” I asked and an expression of panic formed on his face as he grabbed the documents before making his way to my side.

“Don't mind my dumb words, Jared. I just wanted to test you and see? You passed! This job was originally meant for you. No one else can do it as good as you—”

“You mean no one is as naive as I to take on the mission, right?” I interrupted him, and he froze, his left eye twitching in annoyance, but he quickly covered it up with a smile.

“Jared, the benefits that come with taking on this mission aren't something that you should pass over so easily. Why don't you give it a second thought?” He asked, placing his hand on my shoulder and I let out a scoff of disbelief.

“What benefits? Are they worth endangering my life?”

I was gonna take the mission without him trying to sugarcoat me, but if there were indeed benefits that came apart from getting promoted, it wouldn't hurt to play hard-to-get for now.

“Jared,” He sucked in a sharp breath and took out another document from the drawers of his desk before handing it to me. “Take a look at that.”

With my brows raised, I scanned the documents in front of me, and for a moment, I was confused. Until I finally registered what it meant.

“You're not going on any mediocre mission. You're leaving this small city and moving to California. I'm assuming you already know this.” He explained and I blinked in confusion. I didn't realize that I had to leave Denver for California.

I've never left this city before… And the adrenaline rush that suddenly coursed through me made me giddy with excitement.

“You'll be taking on a new identity. Everything you own from now on will be taken care of by the police department. We'll have eyes watching you over there so you won't be alone. You'll have a new life, Jared. And not a life of suffering.” Captain explained softly while my eyes were still glued to the paper I was clutching tightly.

A new identity. A new profession. A new house. A new car. A new city. It felt like I was starting my life over again.

“But, captain—”

“Did I mention you'll be given a million dollars for this mission?” He interrupted and I choked on air instantly, my eyes widening at his words.

  • Would You Die For Me?   My Favorite Student.

JaphethI froze by the door, my eyes fixed on the lady in front of me. I had seen her somewhere before in the school premises. Her dressing showed that she wasn't a student so she must be a professor like me.But what was she doing in my office, on my chair?“May I help you?” I questioned as I walked in, leaving the door ajar to avoid unwanted rumors and she simply smiled at me before rising to her feet.“It's tradition that other professors welcome the new professor with a small party.” The lady started, circling me with a never-fading smile on her face, and I raised a brow in surprise.“A party? The dean didn't tell me about that.” I replied and she chuckled softly. If I didn't know better, I'd have thought she was flirting with me.“The Dean doesn't care about it. But it's SAU’s tradition. So we'll be hosting a small party at my house tonight. You're the star, and you have to be there.” She explained and I let out a sigh of frustration.I didn't want to go.“But—”“You can't say no

  • Would You Die For Me?   His Eyes were always on me.

Japheth I was an hour and thirty minutes late when I arrived at the university. I had decided to take the bus today instead of my car to avoid being stalked but that was obviously a terrible mistake. The bus broke down twice on the way and the driver won't let anyone out.I was about to use my authority as a police officer in the damn bus when I remembered I was not Jared anymore but Japheth.Sucking in a sharp breath, I pushed the door open to an almost empty class. The ones who were present were either sleeping or chatting. Except him.He sat upright, like he had been waiting for me, his eyes fixed on me as if he could see through my soul.“I'm sorry I'm late, class.” I started, grabbing their attention and they turned to look at me. “You're free to leave as this lecture is almost over. But be back here on time for the next.” I offered and mumbles filled the room as the students grabbed their bags and left the hall.Everyone left except Aaron.“Second day at work and you're already

  • Would You Die For Me?   Denial Is A River

JaphethThe moment I stepped into the house, it felt like my lungs were finally free and that I could finally breathe in fresh air. I immediately loosened my tie and flung it to the side, my heart still pounding in my chest wildly. It felt like the tables had turned. Like I was the one who was being targeted. Aaron Martinez was nothing like what I read in his file. He was a different shade of dangerous. It was like he could see through me. Through my facade. Through my lies. He reminded me of Jackson and it only gave me a bigger headache. The way he stared at me and spoke to me was nothing like how a student should speak to a professor. It didn't help that I was nervous around him. I knew how to compose myself, but under his gaze, it felt like I was being unraveled without even trying. My breathing wasn't the same when he was near me. My heart pounded like it was about to burst out of my chest when he spoke. Was I scared of him? Or was that reaction a result of a different emotion?A

  • Would You Die For Me?   Obsession Begins

Aaron He didn’t even look back. Not once. That should’ve pissed me off.But all it did… was make me want him more.I stood there, in the middle of the corridor, my smirk long faded, chest rising and falling like I had just finished a fight. In some ways, I had. And I lost. Not to him..... no, not yet. But to something inside me I hadn’t felt in years.I should’ve walked away. I should’ve gone to class. I should’ve done anything other than what I did next.I turned, slammed my fist against the locker beside me, and cursed under my breath.Japheth Wilson. His voice. His scent. The way he lied with shaking fingers and eyes that didn’t know how to hide a damn thing. It wasn’t just attraction anymore. It was an itch beneath my skin.It was possession, clawing at my throat, whispering things I wasn’t ready to admit even to myself.---I didn’t sleep that night. My sheets were soaked with the smell of my cologne and sweat. My fists clenched at my sides as I stared at the ceiling, over and

  • Would You Die For Me?   Unwanted Attention

JaphethThe loud slam on the desk echoed like a gunshot. It echoed through the classroom like a cleaver, slicing the atmosphere in half.I froze as my heart beat in my chest and as every head in the room turned toward the source of the sound.Aaron Martinez. His hand was still flat against the desk, with his fingers splayed wide like he had just caught something trying to escape. His jaw was tight, his eyes were also stormy, and his entire posture screamed danger in a language only men like me could instinctively understand.'Shit'The room fell silent. It felt so silent that I could hear the hum of the air conditioner and my own pulse rattling in my ears. The girl who had just screamed “I love you, Japheth!” awkwardly cleared her throat and shrank back into her seat.I cleared mine too, straightening up and forcing the kind of calm smile I had worn a hundred times during times like this.“Let’s… begin with introductions, shall we?” I managed, though my voice cracked just slightly

  • Would You Die For Me?   A Sight To Behold

Aaron“Fuck…” I grunted softly, my hand pumping my cock as fast as I could, my eyes tight shut as I imagined his big brown eyes staring at me with need. His hands were so slender that I couldn't help but picture them wrapped around my cock while I praised him for being a good boy.The pit of my stomach tightened and a grunt of pleasure escaped my lips when I imagined his luscious lips sucking on my cock while lewd sounds spilled from his innocent lips. I didn't care that I was jerking off in the student's restroom or that my groans were loud enough to be heard by anyone who walked in. All that mattered was his voice that continuously repeated itself in my head even though all he said was one sentence. The way he glared at me, his expression when he first saw me, everything made my cock ache even more and all I wanted was to show him where he belonged. Under me.With a loud grunt and final sloppy strokes, cum splattered all over the toilet and onto my hand. I sucked in a sharp breath
