“Zayn!”

There was no answer.

No one came out. I screamed his name again. Still no answer. His hut was empty. I checked some minutes ago.

Something didn’t feel right.

I looked everywhere for Zayn but he wasn’t in the camp. I circled round to the spot I had seduced him. He wasn’t there either. He was a moron but he wasn’t stupid enough to walk through the jungle this night. The weird part was that every hut in the camp was empty. The fifteen inhabitants of the island were all gone.

Fear gripped my chest squeezing hard. I was a second away from running wild through the camp screaming ghost site. But I calmly decided the smartest thing to do would be to find the least logical explanation for what was happening.

I decided to check the huts again carefully. There was no point in doing so but I just wanted to be sure. Who knows, maybe they were playing hide and seek without me.

The first hut I started with was mine. I walked in and carefully looked at the place. There was a settee
