"Wait!" I stood to my feet in a fast motion.
"Mom, she's shy, don't allow her do this." Chad came to my rescue, noticing the discomfort I put on. It was one thing to pretend to be his fiance. But having him kiss my lips on purpose wasn't game and I wouldn't be able to bare the embarrassment that followed.
Chad's mom stood to her feet and walked in my direction. She must have no idea that I was aware of who Rebecca was because her manner of speaking related to ignorance.
